Really nice video !! Can you also help us with a video that shows how to deploy shield encryption changes from one org to another along with the checks that needs to be done for a successful deployment. ✌️
Hello, Thanks for this great information. I have a question.... We hace 2 customers who want to bring there own keys in our salesforce org. I wish to ask how is this possible in "BYOK" scenario ? we have to consider the fact that only 1 tenant key can be active at 1 time. consider this... Customer A brings there key in system... data is encrypted as per them... Now when customer B brings their key in system... Previous key of customer A is archived... and all records gets encrypted as per key og customer B... even when customer A inserts a record in their data table, it get's encrypted as per current active key of customer B... so how this scenario can be handled ?
@@moremikesmith Thankyou for responding to my query. I would like to elaborate the scnario.. We have health insurance companies associated as Accounts in our Org.. means Health insurance companies are our customers. Now these health insurance companies contain patient data which they want to encryp on salesforce. 2 insurance companies has this demand that they want to bring their own keys... So we are stuck here... any idea on this scenario ?
This is really intended to illustrated concepts around key derivation, vs. demoing any features. You can search for Platform Encryption demos that others have posted. I also recommend this Trailhead module which will get you up and running with PE in about an hour: trailhead.salesforce.com/modules/spe_admins.

You could accomplish this with two separate orgs - one for each customer.

@@saurabhagarwal8561 This is not possible with Platform Encryption. You can have only one active key at a time for Accounts.
@@moremikesmith Thank You
