I have been watching your videos back to back. Thank you SO MUCH for your content! Super informative. It will be my second time to Oahu; last time was more of a go with the flow type of thing, but this time I have a whole itinerary filled with recommendations from your videos - thank you again!
I was watching this video early in the morning, and when you kept cracking up about the flowers falling on you guys, I thought I was going to wake my neighbors I was laughing so hard 😂 thank you for this video. I’ve visited the islands many times but I’ve honestly never done a luau. I’m coming in May and will be staying in Waikiki and this might be a great opportunity! Mahalo 🤙🏻
Hello!! I just subscribed to your channel. You have a such great useful content. I tried to use your promo code for a Luau show but it doesn't seem to work. Do you by any chance have another code I can use? Thank you and keep doing a great job!
As always Mariam! Impecable video!! I love it.. just wondering if you can do a video about “traveling to hawaii for the first time and solo” the must do and any other tips.” Thanks u
Our Hawaii flight is tomorrow and husband is requesting to have a luau experience, by far this is the best one I’ve seen. Is the promo code still not working?
That's awesome! I hope you guys have a great time & thanks for watching the video. Unfortunately, the promo code doesn't work for this activity. I was notified after I had filmed/edited it that it now only works for select activities instead of all activities on Hawaiiactivities.com. Some of the bigger ones it doesn't work on: this one, Kualoa Ranch (Jurassic Valley), most helicopter rides, and so forth. I (mistakenly) thought it applied for all activities but a lot of it is seasonal or activity-specific from what I gathered.
Aloha Mariam! I work at Central Dining for the Marriott Complex and we help with the Aha Aina Luau reservaions. I'm sorry you were bombarded by the palm tree all night but I wanted to add that all seats are reserved based on the date and time you make your luau reservation no matter who you book it through. Sadly, there is no way to choose left or right of the venue. We hope you enjoyed your visit to the Aha Aina Luau.
I'm looking around for a good anniversary luau/event for my parents available February 8 (we'll be in town 7-15 this month) so I wonder "affordable" price/event for this (and my dad wants their anniversary announced etc. I wonder where to go! I'm writing this as the video plays BTW
I've been waiting for this one since I asked you to review it in the comments of your Big Chief review. Living close by, I've watched this one from the beach a hundred times. Now you need to review Starlight! I can't pick which one I like better.
The Royal Hawaiian porch blessed with gentle sea breezes, wooden-beamed ceiling and love sofas is the perfect setting for love 💕 birds recovering from a Luau hangover.
I really like the information in your videos. This is my wife's first time traveling to Hawaii. It's also our anniversary. I also like your suggestion of going to the Royal Hawaiian luau. My only question revolves around the cost. It's almost double of any other luau. Guess I have to ask why? Is the food all that much better an/or the entertainment? I want this to a great experience for my wife. Thank you.
Thanks so much for watching! Happy to help explain. In terms of cost, it actually isn't double of any other luau. Most luaus have tiered seating with a range of prices. Paradise Cove, for example, has wing seating that is the cheapest of their packages. Hawaiian Luau Package (side/worst seats) is $125, Orchid Package (general/middle seating) is $150, and their Deluxe (best/VIP seating) is $210. But then, you also have to add in transportation +$35 if you don't have a car. A lot of luaus say "starting from" showing their least expensive tickets with the back/worst seating so make sure to look at your seating too! 😊 Hope this helps!
@@YestoHawaii Thank you for your response. I hope you didn't take my original comment as a complaint. It was merely a question to see why this luau is significantly more expensive than the rest. Wondering if the price difference was due to food quality and/or show quality? Just looking for a little feedback is all. I love to research things and then go with best option. Just an FYI we are coming to Oahu on the 12th of September and staying in Waikiki. Our anniversary is on Tuesday the 13th. Can you recommend a great restaurant for us? Preferably not super fine dining. We tend to be a little more casual but like good food. I will be booking all of our activities through your links to show appreciation for your research that you have done. Also, we aren't renting a car either.
@@thomasazzopardi4760 Not at all!😊Happy to help! Another difference can also be luau size too. Bigger luaus tend to be a bit less since they have a larger venue size versus a smaller one. As for the restaurant, Waikiki has lots of options! Two of my favorites are The Deck and The Laylow. Nice venue and tasty food. If you're wanting casual, Shorefyre at the International Marketplace is good or Tiki's in the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel - just make sure to request outside seating for either. Some nights they have live music too. Hope this helps!
@@YestoHawaii I really appreciate you helping make things clear for me. Sometimes I delve too deep into details and forget why we are there in the first place. We will definitely book the luau at the Royal Hawaiian. I don't see an option to request a seat on the right side of stage vs the left side where the flowers were falling onto your table. Also, I really love how Tiki's looks. Thanks to you I believe we will have an awesome anniversary experience. Is it feasible to book a Pearl Harbor tour(Complete) the morning before we have our awesome dinner at Tiki's? Probably have dinner at 7PM.
Lol it can be! Most luaus have less pricing but make up the difference with round trip shuttle service from Waikiki which can be $25-40 per person on top of the ticket price. Luckily, this one is right in Waikiki so transit time is minimal if you’re staying in Waikiki 👌🏼
I’m looking to book a luau in may. I watched a few of your videos and love the details you put in. Between royal Hawaiian and Chiefs luau which one would you recommend as a first timer?
Hmm that's a tricky one. Royal Hawaiian's food is top notch for sure and it's location in Waikiki can't be beat. It's one of my favs for those reasons. Chief's is another good one but the drive can be far on the west side (if you do Chief's, I'd avoid Fridays due to rush hour traffic). Chief's has the MOST fire-knife dancers so if you're looking to see more fire, I'd opt for Chief's.

Morning! This comment made my day. I'm glad you enjoyed the video! This was one of my favorites to edit. And...those flowers were truly a menace 😂

This is another option that’s also in Waikiki: ua-cam.com/video/JsMvwHcSMMQ/v-deo.html
Staying at this resort in a couple of weeks, and was happy I found this video when looking for Luau’s!😍😍

Mahalo! Glad you liked it! Hilton luau review is coming up next month 😊
You should have focused on the performance by the artists but kept showing food tray.
Can't give all the spoilers! 😊
Mahalo❤ ハワイのおじさんです。いつも心のこもったうれしくなるハワイのビデオありがとうございます。またよろしくお願いします❤❤❤
I had to use Google translate for this one ❤ You're welcome & thanks for watching!
Thanks for doing this. We just left Hawaii 4 months ago and miss it so much. 😁

Incredibly accurate 💯
Great video!! Very helpful to know how they luau provides seating post covid! The food looks delicious!
Mahalo! The food was definitely 10 out of 10 😊
Do you have the option of choosing which side you want to sit at when booking?
We arrived quite a bit later, closer to 5:30ish than the check-in at 5pm so there was only 1-2 tables left in the Premium section.
Yes! I want to go to the luau!!!!
Such a great show too!
