I really do enjoy the fact that you play at some more obscure places. I love to see some of these locales. Thanks for the extra effort. And thoughts & prayers for the drone!
Mariano, as always excellent analysis and it's awesome to see your game evolve so fast, especially for a young man. Also awesome to watch you move up in stakes. Keep crushing it, I'll always be a big fan.
Your vlogs just get better and better man. Saw you playing that day but didn't want to bother you, so I told a couple of guys at the table to check out your vlogs. Keep up this dope content man.
Hey man just watching the older vlog for the first time and wanted to say that you are looking heaps good! Looking trim and fit in the new vids! Should be proud 🙂
That transition at 13:30 to add additional thoughts on the hand was well done. Although a little incongruous with your normal strong editing, I appreciated your addition and the way you worked it in
The first hand i am unsure about raising the turn if you have the nuts. Realistically if your opponent leads out with on this board they rep a flush. And with Ace h you can call to jam river. I personally would call on any turn bet to merge my draws with my nut hands. That way my river bets can be more tricky with sizing
I play @ the Encore Boston Harbor quite a bit. It’s a well designed room with plenty of space and games spread. The equipment is good quality and the action is definitely nice. A good mixture of good and bad players. Worst thing I can say about it is some of the dealers are obviously new and the dining options could be better.
I'm a complete fish, but I would only be 3-betting bottom set on THAT board (especially from the small blind in a single-raised multi-way pot) if we're 300bb+ deep. I think the absolute basement of your 3-bet range here is exactly bottom set given the preflop action
On the set of deuces hand I actually like the donk lead. 90% of the time that lead is A6, 65 or 64 wanting to know if the initial raiser has a big pair that will raise or AK/AQ that will almost always call. Getting raised makes their hand face up and they would never expect a set if you just called their raise. You did win though, those 2 outers do come to bite you every now and then when you slowplay.
For the set hand, I dont mind the raise heads up. But in a multinway pot i prefer a call to gain extra value from secondary caller if possible. Though my bias comes from split pot games
I would honestly try to eliminate these vast assumptions of the way “low stakes” players play. It is a hindrance to your own play, i.e, the 22 hand. Take each street as it comes vs your specific opponent.
My take, you’re correct in assuming they should have better holdings pre flop, the issue here is these are not the normal solid players. I feel many of them are there just for the drawings on that particular day. Just a thought. Probably not the field you would have on almost any other day.
Bro, love the content. Can I ask what do you use to study the game? Or is it mostly coaching? Combo of both? I’m just amazed at how good of a player you are in such a short period of time. Stuff that took me years to figure out. But I’m always looking for ways to improve as well. Any insight...you know besides your vlog (LOL)...would be appreciated!
I think he addressed this in a Q & A in an earlier vlog. He mentioned he uses solvers and discusses hands with other players. I also think he mentioned studying some of the free content from some training sites as well.
@Jurgen Pirgu not based on what I think he uses. Based on what I remember he said in a previous video. He addressed in his most recent video and now apparently uses "Crush Live Poker"
When you raised like that with a set of deuces you might as well have held a sign over your head saying "I have 45 or a set" lol Most definitely should've just called there =)
definitely!! the only scare cards would be a four or a five on the turn, if the opponent would happen to have a set of sixes or threes, thats just unfortunate, but you cant be scared of that, if you wanna make some dough by the end.
I was in a similar spot in a $2/$5 game.. I had 6/6 and flopped top set on 6/3/2.. I slow played the flop and the turn came the 4 and I got stacked by A5.. sometimes you got to raise these spots
I almost went to Lake Elsinore on Friday. I live in The Inland Empire and it's just a short ride over there. I talk myself out of going each time because I just don't have the guts to sit down at one of these tables. Maybe one day...….
Very cool video, and your editing is well presented with sooooooooo fun hand cards. In one of your presentations your drone crashed, and that will be missed till you receive your new drone. All that money so just keep getting richer. Hope schooling is successful, however with this corona virus it sure changes your agenda for study, and completing your assignments probably. Joseph Fallon
To add on the trip dueces: Like you said re raising on that flop only signifies 45 or a set. Easy for 2p to get away there. I think if we ever want max value we gotta call and get it in on non paired/one line str turns
I don't hate the reraise with the set of 2s. I think it's better than peeling another card. With another player in the hand, you could be up against something rather big. I agree, don't slowplay, get it done. Not a bad pot for bottom set.
Mariano great vlog as always. A-10 hard to bluff a donk and your set of 2's you HAVE to check especially in aggressive tables. BTW I did exactly what you did with a set of 2s and everyone folded and then got a set of 2s against the same player a week later, checked and he tried to bluff me.
Also love the fact that you are playing at my fav California casino.... from the east cost I’m out there and Las Vegas for a month ever summer...also played at diamond Jim got stacked vs villain with J7’ grrrrrrr lol Come to Pittsburgh pa meadows casino.... great work out there man
Encore in boston that's RampagePoker's go to area and he plays there every weekend. And FYI he says they don't let him Vlog in there. so you going heads up with him will be awesome but it wont be vlogged.
Mariano, just curious why you showed him your bluff @10:26 when you lost? I've shown mine, usually when I bluff someone successfully and want to tilt them. I didn't quite understand how anything good comes out of showing yours at that time. Just curious. I love your vlogs and learn a lot from them.
On the hand where you flopped the set of 2's I don't mind the lead. You got exactly what you wanted in being raised by the pre flop raiser. I would of flat called her raise because it seems like the game is playing pretty deep. Most good players aren't going to lose 200bb on a one pair hand. You're 3bet screams strength, 2 pair or better or slow played A's pre. If you flat her raise and she puts in a good sized bet on the turn you'll not only got more money in the pot but she'll have committed more of her stack and then feel like she can't fold.
Repeat after me “set of 2” NL Holdem is a trapping game ch call ck call check the river “Like a fu*king boss “ and jam... bro they always call bc “ I’m pot committed🚬” love the vlog people just can’t believe they are beat want want to see they always call don’t raise flops ever ever ever ever.... when you do good players should have alarm bells going off now in limit poker ch raise flops with 2 pair or better to build pots... Keep up the good vlogs man
That ajo is a losing call in full ring vs a raise from a tight player. It may even be a losing open. The only flops you really want to see are jack-high, you have to fold if you get squeezed, you can find yourself forced to pay off qq, kk, aa even if you do hit the jack, and on any ace high flop he's just not going to pay you much with middle pair because he knows the field callers' ranges are any ace.
Very good re-assessment at 14:04 ..... you would have made more $ letting her take the aggression road, from her false perception of you being weak & unsure. Most likely she would have fired 1 more barrel, and then stopped after you made the second call.
Great Job Mariano. It seemed to me that you handled the table at higher stakes very well and it is pretty remarkable for the length of time you have been playing.
The flop is 6-3-2 rainbow for your set. People can argue whether it's a wet or dry board and (as per your thinking at that moment) the turn card may kill the action, but really, only a 4 or 5 on the turn should you, or the initial raiser, be worried about. Definitely calling her three-bet here is the correct way. What are you rep'ing by four betting her? Top pair with a gunshot draw? Nobody would buy that.
I have had terrible experiences bluff raising rivers when I read *correctly* that my opponent can't have much. I think it really comes down to the inability of these players to put money into the pot FOUR TIMES and then just fold. They just can't. They just don't.
Am I the only one that whenever I hear Elsinore I automatically think of the movie Strange Brew with Bob and Doug Mckenzie. Take off eh, you hoser!!! ( If you have not seen that movie do yourself a favor and see this movie)
Pour one out for Lil' Red
I'm drinking an IPA as I watch this video. I shall dedicate it to Lil Red!
I really do enjoy the fact that you play at some more obscure places. I love to see some of these locales. Thanks for the extra effort. And thoughts & prayers for the drone!
Awesome job. Love your hand/player/situational analysis. Your vlogs are always worth the wait.
One of the best parts of your blog is going to all the different and obscure Parker rooms and rating them.
Mariano, as always excellent analysis and it's awesome to see your game evolve so fast, especially for a young man. Also awesome to watch you move up in stakes. Keep crushing it, I'll always be a big fan.
rest in peace little red, his workmanship will b missed, love the vids and music as always Mariano, sorry about UA-cam hitting you, welcome back mate
Just started watching your vlogs. Loved the opening editing with the gman quote, beautifully done
Great video and especially great production of said video. I really enjoy your play and commentary. I'm subscribing! Thanks
Thanks Matt :)
Don’t be surprised you’re growing, you’re doing, from what I can see, everything right 👍🏻👊🏻
love your videos, man. keep up the great work🔥
Yes, thank you for exploring all these places.
I really enjoy your vlogs man. Better than most if not all poker vloggers. Your editing and intros are amazing.
Your vlogs just get better and better man. Saw you playing that day but didn't want to bother you, so I told a couple of guys at the table to check out your vlogs. Keep up this dope content man.
I was wondering why we hadn't heard from you in a couple weeks. Glad you got it figured out!
My thoughts and prayers are with u during these trying times..RIP Redbird 🍻
Diamond Jim's is a fun place. Definitely in the middle of nowhere. Lots of action!
Hey man just watching the older vlog for the first time and wanted to say that you are looking heaps good! Looking trim and fit in the new vids!
Should be proud 🙂
Sending prayers for lil Red ✊🏽 and yes! Come to Boston!!!
I appreciate your work and especially that you make an effort to showcase different card rooms.
The way you talk about your Drone incident reminds me of the movie "Batteries Not Included".
That transition at 13:30 to add additional thoughts on the hand was well done. Although a little incongruous with your normal strong editing, I appreciated your addition and the way you worked it in
My condolences on your loss. Praying you find comfort in the midst of your pain. 😒
If you are ever in the northern Pennsylvania region we have a couple good rooms. Erie and Pittsburgh have good tourneys and fair cash games
Mariano, yes your visiting new poker rooms is interesting! thx for doing that.
Thanks for the content. Something interesting during treatment.
Rdsxfan Thank you for watching 🙏🏼

Your b-roll footage and intros are fire every time
Thanks man.
Hopefully you're back in action soon, I enjoy your stuff too
Those chips have some serious usage. Rounded edges from thousands of hours of chip shuffling. ☺️ I came here from Vibes channel. New sub. Great stuff!

24:30 I’d love to travel to the different casinos
Covid19: Hold my beer 😷 🍺
Bottom set with a straighty/flushy flop for sure makes for some difficult decisions. Loved the analysis.
I'm a complete fish, but I would only be 3-betting bottom set on THAT board (especially from the small blind in a single-raised multi-way pot) if we're 300bb+ deep. I think the absolute basement of your 3-bet range here is exactly bottom set given the preflop action

Agreed. Everyone knows I always flop sets
When you raise that big, yes... lol but us fans know it before you raise that big
=p

thank you for the vlog sir, nothing more i wanna watch when i wake up in the morning...just great content all the time
Glad to be of service
Great videos bro! You should add your stack size in the graph.
I almost went to Lake Elsinore on Friday. I live in The Inland Empire and it's just a short ride over there. I talk myself out of going each time because I just don't have the guts to sit down at one of these tables. Maybe one day...….
Everyone sucks, including myself.
Nothing to worry about!
Hope you visit Boston harbor! Great poker room and a lot of action. Almost all 74 tables were filled last weekend. Great vlog as usual.
Glad to find out I made the right fold against your set. It was nice playing with you 😊
Michelle Lewis you too Michelle!
First hand (A-Jo) when the dude fumbles his turn bet, and fiddles with his river bet...
Good fold.

M S so the big blind getting 5:1 can’t put $15 in the pot w 63 suited? You’re wrong
Thanks!
Glad you go all over!
Thank You For Another Awsome Vlog! Much Love From San Diego California ♥️
I don't hate the reraise with the set of 2s. I think it's better than peeling another card. With another player in the hand, you could be up against something rather big. I agree, don't slowplay, get it done. Not a bad pot for bottom set.
Nice . You always crush Lake Elsinore.
Good session and hope you enjoy Talking Stick, one of the best poker rooms in the world.

Lol heard the giant explosion

He called me, so I have to show.
I guess I could just muck but I prefer tabling bluffs like a boss
@@MarianoPoker Whoops, I don't know why I didn't think of that (the call).
Any chance of visiting Golden West Casino, Barona Resort, or Chumash Casino?
Come to Borgata during the open events, cash games get juicy!
Especially in low stakes, I think you're giving too much credit to players to understand how position and ranges work together.
Probably true but in LA I could imagine a lot of grinder regs who actually knows their shit even at lower stakes
Great analysis, poker skills improving, don't mind the lead with the set of 2's but defo flat the raise.
I would've made the same bluff with A10o. Thanks for the videos! Keep up the good work!
The giant explosion😂😂
On the hand where you flopped the set of 2's I don't mind the lead. You got exactly what you wanted in being raised by the pre flop raiser. I would of flat called her raise because it seems like the game is playing pretty deep. Most good players aren't going to lose 200bb on a one pair hand. You're 3bet screams strength, 2 pair or better or slow played A's pre. If you flat her raise and she puts in a good sized bet on the turn you'll not only got more money in the pot but she'll have committed more of her stack and then feel like she can't fold.
Kind of what I was thinking too. The donk worked the reraise didn't
You playing so many rooms is your signature... Make a trip to the gulf coast ... New Orleans... Biloxi... Lots of to review
ooStuStu * then hit Jacksonville, then central Florida, Daytona, Sarasota, Tampa, St. Pete and after that hit Miami
Yay! Come to Boston!
NICE !! KEEP THEM COMING
what is 'moved to the main game' actually. Is it just the bigger game you had your name on the list for that was finally called?
Yay had this gambling session on my bday :)

Enjoy your videos Mariano. One question, the hand you won with AQ suited at around 19:00, what did the other guy have? Or didn't he show?
He didn't show!
Talking stick is nice, you'll like it there.
The fist hand with the AJ, i would have called for another $75. People will still go for value with A10.
Hey Mariano! If/when you head up this way (Boston area) for Encore Boston Harbor, touch base with me! Keep up the great work!
We've been missing you man!
That ajo is a losing call in full ring vs a raise from a tight player. It may even be a losing open. What is the name of that outro song? Who is the artist. Love! Thanks for the content brother!
I love near you socal where local is open?

Most likely she would have fired 1 more barrel, and then stopped after you made the second call.
Great Vlog Mariano! Always enjoy hearing your thought process. Do you record at the table with your phone or some type of gopro?
Make your way to Golden West Casino!! Bakersfield, Ca
With the 22, i would have raised pre flop and play it big after the flop. You did the right thing after the flop i think..
That shot of going to the table to the editing room is taken from a Neeme video.
Correct
Great Job Mariano. It seemed to me that you handled the table at higher stakes very well and it is pretty remarkable for the length of time you have been playing.
Excellent Episode well done sir

You REALLY love the stop and go
When u come to encore in Vegas link up fam!!! I fux wit the vlogs keep grindin
I feel like 3 betting that flop is only leaving like 47 in there (if lucky) and maybe AA that you beat.
Thoughts & Prayers 4 Lil Red
Poker at Barona Casino soon?
UA-cam's actions highlight the need for content creators to shift to a decentralized platform.
I heard you were at my casino today. Hope you liked it.
Parx and rivers in Philadelphia
