Looks really slick. I'll jump back into NeoFly once its out of beta. I used NeoFly a lot but my database became corrupted and I did not want to restart my career at that point. This UI has me excited to try it out again.
As far as I’m aware it doesn’t use databases anymore, I could be wrong. I’ve been following neofly for a bit. You at least can’t easily edit them if they’re not totally removed
If you're willing and have the patience to learn how to fly an oldie-but-goodie, the Douglas DC-3 is like a cheat code for fast cash. It has an absolutely insane payload capacity, carries up to 29 passengers, and is only a B Class aircraft which means you can qualify for it easily in the DA62 test flight. It takes around $200K to 300K deposit to rent one but once you're flying it you can make ridiculous cash with it compared to the A Class aircraft. I started with the JustFlight Arrow III (sold my starter plane for it) and created 3 hubs in GA, USA over my first week or two, and I also hired a couple decent pilots to fly rented Grand Caravans. That was making a couple hundred thousand a night (ish). Week 3 I got my B Class qualification and sold my Arrow to rent a DC-3 and started learning how to fly it with regular cargo missions. Now at the end of my 3rd week and I have a fleet of 5 DC-3s, 4 hired pilots and I made over $1M in one night sending my hired pilots on company missions to my hubs and flying two fairly short missions myself. Per mission I'm making about $100K per flight, and with 5 planes running 2 missions per night I'll be able to comfortably rent a CJ4 or a King Air in a day or so and start flying longer missions for higher pay. And shout out to the Duckworks team and their DC-3 improvement mod! I was having trouble learning the plane at first, but once I got the mod (it's free on flightsim.to) it became SO much easier to fly for me.
I really like how it looks, but did struggle a bit finding what to do. Some more labels would be nice. Also, I can't wait till we can use custom airplanes
Hello Mace, last year you did a video showing how to edit the database for NeoFly 3 using SQLite. Is this still possible with NeoFly 4? I have a friend who loves it, but can't get through a few of the Check Rides for Type ratings. Plus, it would be nice to have some money to start so we can purchase the aircraft we love to fly the most. Thanks, and love your videos!!!
It looks slick but coming from NF3 with all the add ons (I like to support good Devs) I'd need to start again and lose some purchased functionality. I feel branding it NeoFly V4 is a worse decision than just releasing it as a separate application (NeoFly Professional or something). It might put some less understanding people offside when they realise it's a bit of a step back if they enjoyed the more managementy aspects of V3. Just my thoughts though. (edit) Yeh, people can just stick with V3 but something doesn't seem right here.
@@KiwiMace Sounds like it will evolve like V3, I have faith in the Dev(s?). I just wonder if it will put some V3 people off given there are numerous contenders for a similar career mode. V4 looks great it has to be said.
@@KiwiMace ha! I knew it! I haven't listened to you guys for countless hours not to be able to recognize your voice haha. New Zen pinball show today so I'm psyched!
I just started using this a couple of days ago. As luck would have it the first job that I took had me flying to an airfield no longer exists…. not Neofly’s fault, I think it’s Microsoft fault for having it in their database still. I was trying to look it up on Navigraph to get a little more information, since the screenshot in Neofly of the destination, did not seem to have a runway. As it turns out, the airport was closed a few years ago. Within the flight simulator, it is still there and there is still a runway, but that makes it rather confusing if you’re trying to use navigation tools such as Navigraph; Since Atlanta had class B airspace, I wanted to be sure to fly a route where I could stay VFR and not break into class B…. Thus the need for Navigraph. For what it’s worth, the airport was 8A9. South Fulton Palmetto…. It was on the southwest side of Atlanta. Not trying to make this about anything other than Neofly. Neofly 4 is awesome… but I wanted to share my experience with that airfield, just so others are aware that Microsoft has bad airfields in their database apparently. Since Neofly will pull a lot of general aviation airfields, that people may or may not normally fly to, this might occur more often than my one little situation, since general aviation airfields are slowly disappearing.
The new interface is way worse than the previous one in my opinion. Not being able to resize anything is a major pain especially on a 4K monitor. At 100% scaling everything is way too small and at 150% text becomes blurry. Even at 150% it only uses a fraction of the screen space (at 4k) and the map window is reduced to a tiny window in the corner now that cant be resized. Will stick with version 3 for now.
I really wanted to transition to v4, but the scaling is wonky with me. V3 was too but still workable. I just don't understand why the devs can't change the resolution, I don't want to mess with my entire computers resolution just to run one app...
@@KiwiMace hi do you think you will be able to transfer your account data in the beta version to the release version? I'm new to neofly and I don't want to work up a small fortune and work into twins and t props for nothing if you know what I mean.
There is next to no improvements in MFS 2020 compared to the much older version. While it uses Google maps, its actual flight simulator has next to no changes. Other flight sims like X-Plane 11 do a much better job at a similar cost with more after market add ons available.
You have no clue what you're talking about.. msfs uses bing maps. And the upcoming sim update 10 will be a huge update including DLSS, better weather, dx12 improvements and more.. There's also a shit ton of addons available both free and paid.. Looks like you x-plane fanboys are still salty after all this time 😂
WoW! What an overhaul! I like the darker interface, it's better when doing night flights.

I saw your 2021 video and was looking at this and Skypark. With the new UI, I think I will give this one a try! Thanks mate!
Thanks for watching :)
Haven't tried it but loving the look of the new interface!

Yeah Ronald, still some fine tuning required for sure
I love neofly, bc it makes the BEST plane simulator game into the BEST airplane tycoon game
Thanks going to download it. Exactly what i was after.
Wow!! Thank you so much, glad it helped ☺️

Hey Skyrat, thanks for watching :) Unfortunately in V4 you are unable to edit the database. The only option to use a previous version unfortunately.
Any tips for making the grind itself not so terrible?
That’s all part of the fun for me! One thing you can do is set up company mode , hire pilots who will make money for you.

Fair enough Matt. From memory I think the Devs are going to implement all the purchasable components into this version as well.

too many functions are missing from v3 that i dont know if i will go forward, i've tried it and took me ages how to actually fly a mission..
Hmmm thats weird. I selected a mission and everything pretty much worked automatically in the background with no worries
You should do a demo mission.
I'm going to start my first carrer mode in neofly, would you recommend to use neofly 4? Or Should I start in Neofly 3?
I'd probably go for 4 given it's going to receive continual updates.
Are you able to join other VA's?
Gday mate, I see youre still on here...they havent shut down your aircharter company yet??? Wow
I know - it’s a miracle!!
I just downloaded Neofly 4. However, I can’t seem to enlarge the UI window. I’m struggling to read it. Any idea why this may be?
Not sure sorry Oliver - jump on the Neofly discord and someone will be able to help you
Hey is there a way to hire ai pilots on this one?
Hi,
Is it just an update or is it a new program? Can I transfer my progress from v3.13 to the new V4?
Hey, it's a completely new program therefore unable to transfer your progress.

I'd recommend sharing your feedback with the team on their discord
Is this out yet?
I'm unable to find the link to v4. can someone help please
Can you import V3 history into V4?
Hi Andrew, unfortunately not. This has been redesigned from the ground up. You can, however, continue to use V3 as they are separate programs

If I am a cadet and they offer me a $50k loan can I take 5x the same loan to get $250k? and jump into better aircraft?
