Just bought one of these. I bought an Aviation Leathercraft 'Irvin' last year but that's way too thick and bulky. It has to be minus 10 outside to wear that without burning up 🤣 But the Eastman is gorgeous. A bit stiff, but leather loosens up.
Great review player. I'm waiting on a eastman A-2 to arrive and as much as I'm excited I'm also a bit confused. Everyone is talking about eventually achieving that worn look but does that mean (No Maintenance)? and how would one maintain a leather jacket anyways? Any tips would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Hi, thanks for the question. To be honest I've never had to put anything on my jackets for maintenance purposes (like leather creams). That being said if I noticed any cracking of the leather ( for example where your elbow bends) then I would look at using a leather cream to prevent any damage. I have read that using leather creams can darken the leather slightly, so that's something to keep in mind. I've not had to do this yet though and I've had my jackets years! Hope this helps.
that's a real manly jacket. It's amazing how an article of clothing can inspire conference, security, machismo, good looks and gravitas. All while keeping you warm and snuggly. I wish most women could take instruction from this example.

I have an Eastman b3 50 cal jacket. It’s but beautiful and warm jacket but it’s quite stiff and takes a while to get broken in.
