I don't pay much attention to the "experts" when it comes to football, but Herbstreit is an exception. I have never heard a sensationalized opinion from him. His takes are rational and reasonable and his insights seem right on point most of the time. Nice to hear his perspective.
11:15 for actual Jets talk. Herb gave thoughtful and listen worthy answers to everything he was asked, but I don't know why Eric was asking icebreaker type questions for half of the interview.
Herbies call with Musberger with Cal vs Tennessee was one of my favorite. I loved their call when DeSean Jackson ran a punt return for a TD. Btw, I wish there was more QBs like Rodgers who is so proficient running the west coast system of football, where they can adjust protection, know where the hots are etc. Every new QB coming out is all running these dumbed down systems. Also I still think running the ball from under center gives so much better power for the running back.
He is not lying about how he dials in to these games and watches them to prepare for them the next week. This guys picks up the small things and calls them out during the games that you would only be aware of if you truly watched a lot of Jets games or a game specific to the team he is speaking on. For instance he called it out the the o line didn't run to the savior of their quarterback last year, but this year they have been very protective. This guys is great and he truly should be a higher paid analyst!
Herbstreit is one of the Knights of The Coach Madden RoundTable...like Buck, Aikman, Michaels, Nantz, Terico, Greg Gimbel, Charles Davis.. He's your guy in the situation room...kinda like that "Kirby" in the White House... Coach Ma
Why would the Jets release this podcast episode that was filmed before the Thursday night Patriots game, three full days later? Makes no sense. Episode is already outdated.
All this positivity. What do I do with it? And how can I exorcise the thought that all these new converts won’t mock the same old Jets if it fails. F$&k ‘em all. STAY hatin’.

I couldn’t agree more. It would be so nice if they all were like that.
Very good comment. He's almost like an English professor. Factual and succinct.
Would have loved this interview to take place AFTER the Thursday night game so Herb could give his view.

Thank you for the timestamp!
Thank you for adding the time link!
But why'd they release this Sunday for a conversation from _before_ our Thursday Night game?
Thanks
