Yes, you provide interesting, informative, well thought out reviews. I enjoy your unique perspective. I like the little turkey on the shelf in the background.
Thanks for leaving a comment! I do think he's a very good actor. My only issue with him in this movie is that he's on basically the same frequency as he was in Succession. Let's see if he can start branching out.
I like the story of this movie, it goes very deep. But I agree with all your criticism. It was pain to sit through. The part you mentioned (with the statue and pictures) was so awful and forced, it made me cringe. Movie is almost like that for most of its lenght. At the same time it's boring. Shame such a good story was executed this poorly.
Thanks for leaving a comment! I agree with you agreeing with me. Though I didn't mention it in the review, I did like the conceit of how the movie is bookended. I found that to be more heartbreaking than elsewhere in the movie when it was trying too hard.
I'll have to pass on this one. As much as I like Culkin, I've come to strongly dislike Eisenberg. Not even sure why, and I know it's entirely my fault if I can't give a movie a fair chance just because I'm not a fan of a cast member.
Eisenberg is at his Eisenbergiest in this movie, so you may want to stay very far way. It's funny, because he's been sort of typecast after The Social Network, so when writing himself a part, you'd think he'd want to show a different side of himself, but nope.
@@FeatureUnderground That's true. I'm not a fan of superhero stuff anyway, but I was once compelled to watch the Batman v Superman thing. My friends tried to reassure that I was witnessing brilliance, but I was utterly bored, and I just wanted to slap the s%$& out of Eisenberg for all his tedious, rambling speeches about humanity or whatever. Again, some of this is definitely my fault, but I guess we all have prejudices.

Thank you very much for staying tuned! I'll try to keep it up. My dad built that turkey and the pumpkin above it. I will relay your kind words!
This movie showcases Keiran Culkin's brilliant acting abilities! I hope he gets nomimated for Best Supporting Actor in the Oscars next year!
