Hi! I'm auditioning for voice on Friday, Jan. 27 2017, and I was wondering if there were any auditionees that could tell me how long the wait was for an audition. Do they go in a specific order or is it completely random? Does it really take the entire day? Could someone clarify? Thanks!
While I'm sure this is a magnificent opportunity and a wonderful school, I am also deeply saddened by the fact that Classical music is all but moribund in the United States and that most of the graduates will have no hope of making a living in music, except a very small minority. Just look at the age of classical concert goers in the US. Most are in their 60's and 70s. But there are tens of thousands waiting in line for Justin Bieber. I'm sorry. That's just the way it is. sanjosemike
It is true, and it's sad. But this is why we need to continue, even more keenly, to prepare ourselves as musicians in the classical art and to promote it as we can, to get children interested too. We need to keep it alive, and I believe that as long as there are people still out there who love it, and young people wanting to train classically, the classical music will go on :)
Just seeing people walk in with their cellos made me nervous 😁
so great seeing all those familiar places. What a place!
"I love the energy"
Lol what?

Where do you think graduates should move to in order to make a decent living?
