We got Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits vs the Servite Friars!!!
Both teams are the definition of tough hard nosed and gritty style of football!
So you know that means that this one was going to be a dogfight from start to finish!
Both teams exchanged blows one after another not letting the other get too ahead as both teams were hungry to advance and ended up in a DOUBLE OT THRILLER!!

We ( Anaheim Colonists) beat Servite 3-0 in overtime in the first round of the CIF 4-A playoffs in 1975. The largest crowd ever at Glover Stadium.

and for most of the 70s , even though they haven’t played in the sunset league in like 50yrs they probably still have the most sunset league titles.
People don’t understand. Servite despite their record this season, they are by far more superior than Poly. Not only are they a better high school in terms of academics, they have a better football program, and play in one of the toughest high school football leagues in the nation.
How can you say "far more superior" when the game went into overtime? And, the reason it went into overtime was because the Poly place-kicker missed a game-winning field goal opportunity to end regulation? You might want to check the stats for this game. The results were more like an unforced Poly loss than a Servite dominated win. High School Academics? A high school education is a high school education. People are not getting better job opportunities because they graduated from Servite instead of Poly.
So which school has sent more players to div1 schools and the NFL ? 😉
