Flatbush zombies: 3001 is underrated gem same with Vic Mensa , there’s a lot going on, is one of Vic’s best work(imo greatest record of the year) You got Jeffery by young thug , blond by Frank ocean, untitled unmastered by Kendrick. The suns trade by Isaiah tirade . Cozy tapes vol. 1 and awh man 2016 was just a great year overall cultural wise and extremely fun.
Astroworld was album of the year in 2018. Even if it’s the most “obvious” or “mainstream” answer. Zero skips on that track list, with Daytona being a close 2nd another skip less album as well
Taboo vs swimming was probably the hardest year for me to choose. I personally listen to taboo more, but man Swimming is just an amazing album. I love both of them.
2020 Alfredo, FKTAG, and Burden of Proof are all really close but Alfredo has the more consistent tracklist imo. Also my favorite songs of that year are both Frank Lucas and One Way Flight, upset we might not ever get a Freddie and Benny collab again.

Dope year but I think Piñara and Run The Jewels 2 are fairly better than the rest of the field. Cadillactica isn't KRIT's best albums at all tho, 4IAMLT is much better.

Great list! -2010 MBDTF is a given -2011 has gotta be section 80, but I’ve never heard Undun so gotta check that out -2012 is GKMC easily, sing about me is still possibly Kendrick’s greatest song -2013 has gotta be Yeezus for me, but I’ve never heard nothing was the same -love the cilvia demo representation, Def my pick for 2014, piñata is close behind though (and 2014 is obviously great) -2015, TPAB is the best album of all time, I have a hard time seeing how anything could challenge it for me (shoutout to Rodeo though, best trap album ever imo) -TLOP is my pick for 2016c Honor Killed the samurai is an honorable mention tho, super underrated. 4 your eyez only is another honorable mention but it’s mostly the title track and the intro for me. Haven’t heard the tribe album so this might change, but I really love TLOP -I would’ve given 2017 to 4eva is a mighty long time tho, super underrated, fucking beautiful album, but DAMN is also my second favorite Kendrick album so this one is tough, and obviously Flower boy is a killer. There’s also 4:44 which is amazing, this year is probably the hardest to rank for me. -2018, has gotta be KSG, Ye and Taboo are close behind though -2019, if Igor can’t be included, I’d say it’s Grey area by little simz -2020, burden of proof!! -2021, gotta be LP! by jpegmafia, though Tyler and little simz had runner ups I gotta check out the roots and tribe in general, gotta check out blu and exile, nothing was the same, and as god intended! @@NFRPodcast can’t wait for the 2000s bracket
Heavily disagree with you 2018 pick but the rest of them are valid. Big W, the 2010s were by far the most creative decade for the genre.
Your videos are always GOATED, y'all should make an episode with the update regarding utopia and the snippets that have been played at ZOUK
Would have took mmlp2 for 2013 but I literally agree with everything else! great vid!

Change My Mind
2011 its watch the throne. take care is too bloated, section 80 production is lacking.
2017 its flower boy, wayyyyyy more entertaining and better production than damn.
2019 I would argue jesus is king but obviously liking that album is like being black in 1850. fuck everybody who thinks jik is bad.
2022 mr morale is better than forever story if we being real.
for the most part I agree with your takes. Kanye, Travis & Carti on top. Their sound has the best vibe & so many bangers between them.
@@sabus1265 you really just made a whole paragraph your opinions on music, respect :D

Not having drogas wave for 2018, and not even mentioning it, is crazy. It’s easily my AOTY, and the perfect album imo. Literally my #1 of all time
2010 - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantacy - Kanye West (not a comback album tho)
2011 - Section 80 - K.
2012 - Good Kid Mad City - K.
2013 - Yeezus - Kanye West
2014 - pinata - freddie gibbs (or moster - Future)
2015 - Rodeo - Travis Scott
2016 - Slime Season 3 - Young Thug
2017 - Damn. - K.
2018 - Some Rap Songs - Earl Sweatshirt
2019 - Nothing Great About Britain - Slowthai
2020 - Whole Lotta Red - Playboi Carti
Taboo v Swimming is a crazy match up but neither beats Drogas Wave. It's concept, layers, rapping showcased, and versatility kinda speak for themselves.
Exactly. Drogas wave is my #1 album of all time, easily the AOTY that year, and it was an amazing year. I don’t understand how people don’t recognize that
Great list!
-2010 MBDTF is a given
-2011 has gotta be section 80, but I’ve never heard Undun so gotta check that out
-2012 is GKMC easily, sing about me is still possibly Kendrick’s greatest song
-2013 has gotta be Yeezus for me, but I’ve never heard nothing was the same
-love the cilvia demo representation, Def my pick for 2014, piñata is close behind though (and 2014 is obviously great)
-2015, TPAB is the best album of all time, I have a hard time seeing how anything could challenge it for me (shoutout to Rodeo though, best trap album ever imo)
-TLOP is my pick for 2016c Honor Killed the samurai is an honorable mention tho, super underrated. 4 your eyez only is another honorable mention but it’s mostly the title track and the intro for me. Haven’t heard the tribe album so this might change, but I really love TLOP
-I would’ve given 2017 to 4eva is a mighty long time tho, super underrated, fucking beautiful album, but DAMN is also my second favorite Kendrick album so this one is tough, and obviously Flower boy is a killer. There’s also 4:44 which is amazing, this year is probably the hardest to rank for me.
-2018, has gotta be KSG, Ye and Taboo are close behind though
-2019, if Igor can’t be included, I’d say it’s Grey area by little simz
-2020, burden of proof!!
-2021, gotta be LP! by jpegmafia, though Tyler and little simz had runner ups
I gotta check out the roots and tribe in general, gotta check out blu and exile, nothing was the same, and as god intended! Lots of albums to check out, thanks y’all! Don’t sleep on Peggy tho!!
4eva makes me wanna become a better person everything i listen to it
I cant believe they didnt push it harder tbh

not even lying.. that is my favourite album EVER!! .. how in depth everything is, omfg it’s so fucking good and deep, has a deep mix and experiments wit sm new sounds..
@@yeezyszn4L Such a great album Glad I got to see him perform it in entirety.
@@cedric4610 aweee man. That must’ve been a crazy experience! I’m from Canada so I don’t think I’ll ever see him perform;(
He did mention it as an honorable mention. For me it is the best album of 2018 and probably top 3 of the decade behind MBDTF and GKMC
