For me, the bass aren't biting. But there is usually a good chance the snakehead will! And who can turn down some quality top water strikes! It was a short morning, tho it never did rain.
I bought these frogs a while back just for this purpose and they did not disappoint! They are a smaller frog than I am used to using, but they cast great and have a fantastic kicking' action.
These are their "SECONDS" meaning that something about them didn't pass quality control. Maybe a dent, or a small bubble,.... I do not believe that the fish noticed the baits they ate were less than perfect and I saved a ton of money on them!

I just want to take a minute to thank everyone who reached out to me after Hurricane Ike. My family and I are safe and very fortunate that we didn't get too much of the storm. In my area, we did get some rain and a good amount of wind. There was no damage done in my area, in fact, I went to work during the whole thing. LOL Thank you again for all your thoughts and prayers. Not everyone in the great state of Florida was so lucky so please keep them in your thoughts. I hope you all are well! The fishing may suck for a while, but I'll get out there and cast anyway!

I do like those bruiser toads. I love watching the swirl of the wake as a fish turns on the jets to get topwater.
For the price, I’d absolutely buy them again. I do like the Stanley ribbet frogs a little better tho. Bigger profile too.

A top water blow up is always impressive no matter the size of the fish, and it's the smaller ones that put on the biggest show, the bigger smarter ones sometimes just suck it in with barely a ripple on the water, Haha.

Oh yeah we have the bowfin too. Not a lot in the areas I fish, but if I get closer to the glades or Okeechobee, I'll usually pull in a few. As similar as they are, they are not related. I like the Bruiser stuff. And I keep winning bags of their baits so I'm set! Thanks for watching bro! Much appreciated!

I haven't tried top water in a while. Might give it a shot on Wednesday if I get up early enough. Gonna try a spy bait for sure though. Heard good things about them and picked up a couple.

Incredible topwater action bro! Especially the would be number 4... nasty blow up!!! I would throw the frog on a steel leader going after them toothy guys lol. I already throw my bass worm on steel when I'm up north in Pike country, doesn't bother the bass at all. Also, I took your advice about the Stanley Ribbit frog... my new favorite topwater frog for sure!!! Sorry that you didn't get invited to the RLDL challenge, I figured that you did and couldn't make it. We didn't know who all was invited and then we only knew who all was fishing in it later. You are always invited in my book and always have a place on the Friendliest Catch or any challenges I do on my channel 👍💪.

I do like the action on those frogs. I bought a bag of them recently too. Glad you landed a few snakeheads before the storms rolled in.
It never did rain. Stinking Florida weather! LOL. I do like the frogs. They are a smaller frog than I usually throw, but still cast great and have a good kicking action. Had to downsize to the 3/0 hook tho. The usual 4/0 was too big for the bait. Thanks for watching!

Hey thanks bro! They are a mean, angry, fish. I actually have eaten several of them. They are a nice white meat with no real flavor to them. Taste basically depends on how you cook them.I did a catch and cook a while back. Im overdue for another. I usually fry them up but my buddy has a smoker and we are going to try to make a fish dip with them. Best part is they are invasive so there is no limit on them. Makes for a great fish fry!

That little canal is apparently full of snakehead, 3 in 30 minutes - pretty good stuff - I like those frogs, may have to give them a try- I hardly ever or really never through a frog, but that one looks pretty good.
That whole canal system is pretty thick with them. They are no longer guarding fry so they are out and on the hunt!
There is one spot you’ve fished a bit. Looked like your under and next to an overpass. I would bet a frog out there would be killer!

Great snakehead catches! I hear ya on when you want to take a break but the bite starts up, did that the other morning…started at 5am and caught some decent fish. Then the bite was 🔥at 10am (five hours later) and I was gonna be late for our anniversary date and the rest is history lol!

Nice video. All the snakeheads I've ever caught have been by accident. I've never really targeted them before. They seem like fun.
Thanks man! There was a time for me when they were almost a nuisance. But sometimes, especially when the bass bite is tough, they are fun to target. Especially top water.

I hope your family stuff goes well. I'm doing alright. Went out last week a couple of times with a tub of worms and finally got some bream. Getting another surgery in the morning so won't be fishing for a few weeks, so had to get it in when I could. Good luck when you get back out there and take care.

$9 That's actually a good deal. At Walmart I find some pretty cool stuff from Yum. It's the same kind of deal. They may have imperfections in the injection or the colors did not bleed correctly together.
Ive never seen those but I have used the YUM tip toads, I think thats what they are called? I hate them! I got them for the snakehead fishing cuz they were cheap, but they were awful. A rare miss from YUM.
Bought these initially just to support some friends who are affiliated with Bruiser Baits. But they are actually a pretty decent frog. A little smaller than my usual, but still a good option. I like their stick worms too. Very durable and they offer them at the scratch and dent prices too.
@@ParabellumFishing I do know they recommend you to use the double hooks on the yum frogs. I don't know how much of a difference it will make though. Have you tried the double frog hook?
