Same for music. Our choir director wanted us to practice full out and know the material cold. Then when on stage, stage fright doesn’t win.

You should go and coach the Niners Joe!! By doing similar like Walsh did. 👍

The little things. This is what separates Bill Walsh from Kyle Shannahan, teaching them the little things as well as making them aware of the little things, whether it be about technique, form, positioning or even just the rules of the game whether it be overtime rules or if say you fumble, just fall on the ground to use your body as cover to prevent the ball from being recovered from the opposing teams hands. Shannahan is too inclusive and does not take accountability for his mistakes. He's too arrogant. Walsh 3-0 in super bowls as a head coach. Shannahan 0-3 in super bowls as a head coach, 1 with Atlanta, 2 with San Francisco ..And it's a shame with all that talent, I have a feeling Bill would have done a better job and those two super bowls the 49ers lost under Shannahan could have been victories had Bill Walsh been coaching those teams. What a shame . RIP coach Walsh.

One other common thing every hall of fame quarterback has and that is a great head coach. Joe had Walsh, Tom had Belichick, Marino had Shula, Aikman had Johnson, Manning had Dungy, Elway had Shanahan etc. How many of these coaches are also in the hall of fame which tells us that it is a collaboration between player & coach.
