I've done the HH a few times at CW, as my nephew used to live close enough to it that we could see Behemoth and Leviathan from one of his condo windows. This year, as they have all moved down to my home town, we are going to Cedar Point for ours. It's my first time since 96 and his first time ever. Two of his friends are coming down from Toronto the night before too so we can all go.

Opening night is always pretty busy, everyone wants to go right away! I think the lines should go down next weekend.

Fair, I suppose, but as I mentioned, I'm sure I've never seen it this busy before on opening night.

So I’ve been going to Halloween Haunt for years and I have always gone opening night. And I have to agree with you, as of late (post Covid) the crowds have just gotten bigger to the point where the experience just isn’t as enjoyable and I find that there are fewer actors in the mazes compared to previous years.
I remember when Halloween haunt used to have 10-12 mazes and that helped distribute the crowds a bit. But I agree with you, usually opening night it’s not that busy.
Just curious why you won’t make a visit to Screemers? I haven’t been in years

Well, I don't know for certain that I won't be going, however it is pretty unlikely, because while they supposedly have a new maze, I don't believe that it's worth 45 dollars when everything else will be the same.

    Anything pumpkin spice?

Plenty, apparently. Amusement Insiders mentions it in their vlog but there's supposedly pumpkin spice cheesecake at Lazy Bear Lodge.

Ya I would say your biggest complaint is crowds. It’s Wonderland what did you expect. Casa Loma might be better for you. Also reviewing opening night is not a fair review as most actors are going to be new and are still working out the kinks. Give it 2 weeks and there is a noticeable improvement.

True. I'm not going to discount the actors' work, and may I point out that at one moment in the video I said I appreciate those that put in the effort. Had the crowds not been so bad that we always had people in front of us, I have no doubt I'd have gotten scared more often and it would have been a better experience. I love most of the rest of Haunt, especially the atmosphere, but the insane crowds kind of dampened the experience. As for Casa Loma, I feel it's too expensive so I doubt I'll be visiting.

Can you name all the haunted houses they have? I remember they got rid of so many after covid :/

5, well 5 and a half, I suppose. The newest one is Dark Ride, then there's The Crypt, The Ruins, Spirit Manor and Cornstalkers. In fact, you'll see them all in the video. The one that's half maze half scare zone is called Necropolis.
