Advice coming from me, a sophomore.
Leave all the middle school drama in middle school. Petty drama is such a waste of time.
Pick and choose the people you hang around with carefully. Don’t give people too much info about you. Example: money status, relationships, home life because people can use that against you.
Don’t try and hang out with the juniors and seniors. When they talk to you it’s mostly cuz they see you as an easy target and they seriously don’t gaf about you.
Join clubs! Be involved! It’ll help so much on your resume for colleges!
Try and have a healthy relationship with your teachers because it’ll work in your favor in the future.
And lastly, don’t wait until the last minute to do assignments or study. I suggest studying 10 days before tests/quiz’s. Make sure for all of your classes you review things you’ve learned in earlier units to really succeed on your later tests!
And most importantly, don’t stress so much! Try and have fun! The best way to succeed in high school is to be organized and be surrounded by positive and loving friends and family!

I’m not even gonna lie but I’m so damn scared for the first day of highschool 😭 it’s a brand new school with people I’ve never seen before so I have no idea what it’s like. Your video gave me faith that everything might be okay 🥹🥹🥹
Truly the hardest part of highschool is the work and that stairs (if ur school has them) people won't typically go out of their way to mess with you, just try and find people that you think are nice and genuine that you would wanna be friends with

as a senior, i promise you will be okay. just mind your business and do as much work as you can.
trust me it’s not even that bad, that’s how I was when I was a freshman. just think about how it was when you were a 6th grader, it’s the same thing but high school, with older people. and it was tiring for me on the first week that I was knocked out after school at home like literally I would go straight to bed 😭, but you got this, i believe in you ‼️

Im a sophomore now and the first day of school for me was honestly rlly fun. Especially seeing all my friends again after distance learning 😁😁. Nobody rlly judges freshmans unless they scream in the halls or run to the lunch line. Other than that, I hope ur first year of hs is great🤭

Im going to be a sophomore in college so words advice for High School...be YOURSELF. I know that sounds lame and cliche but its true. I wasted 4 years of my life trying to be like everyone around me and I ended up losing my identity. I did and said fcked up things just to fit in and please people because I was too scared to be alone and extremely insecure. Let me tell you, NEVER compromise or lose your morals for the sake of popularity, men, or friendships. Even if you find yourself walking alone its worth it to stay away from all of the bs. Also, how you dress is super important. In high school I only dressed like everyone else and whatever was trending at the time, even if I didn't really like it or it made me uncomfortable. Dress in whatever way you feel like yourself AND comfortable. Also, I regret not being social. Go to all of the events, tailgates, games, and dances. My high school got cut 2 years short due to covid and I never got to go to prom. Do all of these things and study hard. I promise you, college's DO care about your freshman grades. I really pray that you have a better experienced than I did! And girl bring headphones/AirPods every single day cus trust me your'e going to need them.

I know this may be a weird question, but what do you really think of the “quiet kids”? As you said you were the type to try and “fit in”, I’d assume you had some sort of popularity or general extrovertness, so we’re they, like, “weird” to you? I’m gonna try actually being myself this year since I’m going to a new school but it’s hard because I always worry about what ppl think of me. Like I swear they thought I was retarded or sumn in my last school and it really fucked up my confidence. As a junior now don’t worry about freshman year it went by extremely fast & it was easy I kinda played around that year but my grades were really good .
It better be plssss i got freakin team sports and it's required to have that class in one of ur semesters and we got to change in the lockers and i hate that part ughhh we cant wear our school clothes and if we do they cut off points and i have 132 more days intill 2nd semester so ughhhhh it better be fast and also its my last block and i be sooooo tired!!!!!!

Advice from a Junior, stay true to yourself! Its really easy to lose yourself in high school. Also make sure to study and take school seriously; cause if you don’t it will come back to bite you. I hope you have a great year :)
The school system works different here in Australia, but according to the American school system I would technically be in my second year of highschool there, 10th grade, and a Sophomore (I'm in my 4th year of hs here, year 10 and am considered a senior (senior is 10, 11, 12) but I feel like I'm still able to give advice-
Leave the drama behind, it's so tiring on top of the stress of school work, truly.
People probably aren't looking at you! I have severe anxiety and it's something I worry about a lot, but truly what helped me was realising that while people care about me, not a lot of random people do though so they won't care about what the fuck you're doing.
Your meta health souls be your top priority. Burnout is the worst and you won't even get a bit of homdowkr done with it a it's better to take it at your own pace and get it all done the best you can compared to pushing yourself and doing great a few times and then crashing and not being able to even star anything.
Class of 2022 here - I’ll say it because no one told me this, but if you can take enough AP classes to graduate high school with an associates or at least the classes you need to get into your major without having to take a semester AT that college you plan to go to, please do it. I wish I would’ve taken AP Psych and AP Bio at my school. I didn’t know until senior year that nursing was something I wanted to go into. It was too late. If I had taken those two classes, alongside a couple others like AP Chem, I wouldn’t have to spend 6 months at my community college for the fall doing pre-reqs. I could be getting my ADN/RN right NOW at 18. Take career choosing seriously from the get go. Hope you have a fabulous four years bby 💕

I’m starting my first day of middle school in 2 days, and the middle school is like 2x bigger than the elementary school.. I’m pretty nervous but thank god i stay in one hall for most of it. The scary part is the high school is like 3x bigger than the middle school!!!!! They built a new one in my area and it is GINORMOUS!
