13:18 a side note - A Witch with the Cauldron feat tree can make excellent use of Packed with Flavor, as her cauldron can produce temporary potions each day, and given that they are NOT alchemical items they aren't cumulative with the Wandering Chef's alchemical foods - so, yeah, magical snacks for everyone.
The thing i like about all of this using cooking lore as an option is instead of taking the cook background, you can take a different background and use additional lore to pick up cooking lore and it just auto updates as you level up
You can always take Additional Lore for your background lore. Since you become trained in the same lore twice, you get training in a new lore of your choice while you get the scaling for your background lore.
6:00 Just to note, you actually CAN'T use the Wandering Chef's versatile vials as acid bombs, because using the versatile vials as acid bombs requires the Quick Vial aspect of Quick Alchemy and the dedication states Wandering Chef can only use Quick Alchemy's Create Consumables aspect.
@@senritsujumpsuit6021 Not my fault that's what the rules say. ...Although, I wonder if a Bomber archetype will be on the way, now that they've given a non-multiclass archetype Versatile Vials.
I'm from South East Asia for what it's worth. I love the idea of the party cook, it sounds very fun to me. I also like that this archetype can work in like a Monster Hunter like setting, where you cook up monsters you hunt and use the less edible parts as Alchemist Bombs and stuff.
Hi, there! Just wanted to say, I’ve just started rolling a Barrister (Lawyer) Swashbuckler with the new Bravado / Panache mechanics… …and you’re absolutely right; this party NEEDS a lawyer. And it’s so much FUN.
I'm pretty sure Morning Side Dishes just grants advanced alchemy as written, which is not limited to only alchemical food; advanced alchemy doesn't reference quick alchemy, which is limited to alchemical foods for the wandering chef.
Finally its time for all of us: Time to Burn pie as cooking Mama in Pf2e!! on a more serious note: making a monk chef would be quite cool, we only are missing a panda ancestry but A. Animal will work
5:45 You don't get Quick Vial for infinite acid Bombs. Quick Alchemy is "Create Consumable" and "Quick Vial". Unlike the Alchemist Archetype, you only get the former. Those 4 VV you get are either food or acid bombs. And you really prefer them to be food. Might be nice if you hit a surprise Troll, but not a scalable option.
Did i miss it in the cooking video or did you not yet go over all the newly added food items? Or where there simpy not that many new items? Im really hyped about the wandering chef but currently there are so few low level food items that I dont really know what to do with the versatile vials for the early game.
Sadly the game is at odds with itself... Mechanically players are incentivized to optimize. In 2e even more so. Before carry capacity left some wiggleroom for camping supplies and a mess kit. But encumbrance for 2e is more restrictive. The one exception perhaps being the alchemical angle which has improved a bit. But even then out of the box leaves much to be desired as without homebrew the items are still limited. Its great flavor (pun intended) but ultimately 4 versatile vials that are I assume non-renewable like the other alchemy dedications only goes so far without frequent long rests.

A witch making magical snacks and candies? I am sure that is fine nothing could go wrong here.

You can use the 4 Versatile Vials as bomb.
What you can't do is use Quick Vial for infinite Acid Bombs.
I can see wandering chef working really well for a follower of Urgathoa lol

Hey, thanks for posting this. Looking forward to the next book content 👍
Do not let this distract you from the fact alchemist got cooking feats AND pocket sake
You have to have a cook on your adventures, just like every group needs a lawyer.

I would totally do a delicious in dungeon spec.

We also need a Goose Chef mentor/parent
1:30 not Central, it's southeast Asia
Everything in this reminds me of "the wandering inn" alchemical food, acid bombs, frying pan

These additions rarely seem to add many items. It feels like a sample buffet that only leaves you hungry for more.
Think of the chef's weapons is like pepper spray or some type of extract like in real life
Cleaver
