I saw her play in the 2019 Fleadh finals. As much as I like Dylan's playing, I was impressed by Sarah's technical mastery and her musicianship, and chose her to win.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard rolls that seem to have their own internal rhythm, almost like equal semiquavers, eg. 00:54... such a wonderful, crisp sound.
@@evm7368 It’s a really special sound. My own rolls are more the standard ‘interruption of the string’ as Kevin Burke describes it, and I’m not necessarily unhappy with that - but I feel like I’ve never heard rolls that hammer away in this wonderfully ‘clicky’ way!
@@thelightisahead Her rolls are like the cut and tap technique on the whistle, performed so cleanly and quickly that her fingers stabbing the fingerboard are almost too quick to see.

I suppose those eyelashes must be handy for sweeping excess rosin away from around the bridge.
Lovely playing, by the way!
Something is missing in the playing. Seems too mechanical, needs more feel.
Has this lady some classical training ?
