You have been one of my most important inspiring person in my life this last year. I have had complications from covid since last April, I used to work in the ICU. I have not returned to work. I still have trouble breathing with a mask on. Your voice is soothing and your videos inspire me and educate me to just go with it. That's how i see life now. I can't change what happened to me, although I miss taking care of my patients. I'm learning more about me. I love everything you create. As history goes, I too have accumulated an abundance of treasures in the past. Still if I was let loose in your stash, I would feel like a kid in a candy store. They are all so beautiful, and I imagine hard to let go of.

Two seconds in and I'm in awe of you, Pam! 😯😯😯😍😍😍😍😉 Here I was, pleased with my first few attempts, building up my stash and tool kit quicker than I thought I would, getting hooked on making journals (so de-stressing) and wondering what to do with them once made and I come across you and your amazing collection. Wow what treasures ! Currently I have moved and it seems I have lost my creativity in doing so I have made about 6 so far and have 2 left. Secretly I’m sad when I sell one or gift it as I feel no one can appreciate the love, time, sometimes frustration, of a finished journal. I love the process too and force myself to journal from time to time. 💕
Oh how I know that feeling. Giving them away is hard. Losing mojo is hard. I tell myself that they have a mission and that is to bring some joy to someone else, I hope. To get my crafting mojo back I reorganize my craft room. That generally fires me up again.:) Thanks for your thoughts :)

Wow! I love your Junk Journals collection! I am new to Junk Journals making! I started last month. Yesterday I went to Dollar Tree and picked up some supplies! I can't wait until next month is my birthday and I'm going to go to thrift stores and get more supplies!

Yes my daughter and I have made many journals and I have a book shelf full of them. What to do with them is the question. I've given many away but found that not everyone likes to journal so it becomes a coffee table ornament. I won't stop because I really love making them. Thanks for sharing this video. I have a shelf filled with journals I've purchased from junk journal crafters that I follow & love. I'm still collecting & feel I always will. Of course they are your babies! They take hours and hours of love and dedication. They didn't exist and now they are beautiful and wonderful. I've made six journals this year and feel proud. But part of me is afraid of where I would put them all at this pace.

I just found this video. I love it! I have half of my kitchen I use for a very small studio. I have a chest of drawers that has all my secrets lol some drawers are my fabric stache, some paint and art supplies... I have given all my journals away but 3 and the one I'm currently working on. This one is made from a family size cereal box and has my 1st sewn binding. I'll never part with it 😉
I love the fact that you have so many different styles and designs in these lovely journals. I have only began to make junk journals, but I can honestly say, I will be the next to have a trunk filled with them. I too love the feel and textures. The ones I have made, I have given as gifts so far, but want to make a few for myself. Thank you for always sharing your ideas and techniques as they are inspirational.

I love notebooks and I love journaling, but im totally hopeless at crafting. So im just buying pretty looking notebooks, but generally they just have a picture in cover and then empty pages. Yours look so fun.

Hi Lauretta, so I sit down often as I do and say, ok time do some journaling but...then another thought comes through completely eradicating the first thought! The second thought goes something like this. Why journal when I could make another new journal...and off I go making another book. :) Alas, the pile grows ;) I get so darned excited about trying new ideas and can't wait to start :) Thanks for your comment! :)
@@ThePaperOutpost I've been thinking about that and came to the conclusion journal-making is a form of journalling, expressing our emotions, things we like etc. The only problem with that is that while making things fulfills our need to create stuff, make things happen, it might be problem when we use journals for therapeutic purposes, to help us deal with problems. I often promise myself I'll journal at least a bit every day but keep falling asleep while constructing yet another cover.
@@AmsBloom ahahahha! You are so funny! We can make any kind of journal we like thankfully, naked ones or chunk monkeys! We can make chunk monkeys where most stuff is removable too :) One thing for sure, as long as my scrap pile is full I will keep making journals...until I fall asleep too ;)

I'm on my second journal and keep telling myself I need one for myself. My brain gets so frazzled that I always start a new project thinking this is for me then a few pages in I find something new you do so I have to try it. Next thing you know I have a "chunky monkey" as you say. Your videos are great and so addicting. You make it fun. I look forward to any new videos you make. Lol I need to stop looking at your video's so that I can finish a journal but I find that hard to do. Lol

I love the feel of books...I am an avid reader and do not read from an electronic 'book'. I love holding a physical book.
Like you I love the feel of the paper especially when it's coffee /tea dyed, I just love books of any kind, I should have been a librarian lol

I love notebooks and I love journaling, but im totally hopeless at crafting. So im just buying pretty looking notebooks, but generally they just have a picture in cover and then empty pages. Yours look so fun.
WOW!!!...this truly is a treasure chest...if u chose to sell those ...theres a lot of $$$ sitting right there!!! lol....at least u do something with all the stuff u get at antique shops...i have a lot of stuff..but need to get motivated...LOVE THIS!!!

My dirty little secret is that I've never made a JJ for myself, always for others. Clearly I need to remedy this!! Lol tfs. :-)
Hi Lauretta, so I sit down often as I do and say, ok time do some journaling but...then another thought comes through completely eradicating the first thought! The second thought goes something like this. Why journal when I could make another new journal...and off I go making another book. :) Alas, the pile grows ;) I get so darned excited about trying new ideas and can't wait to start :) Thanks for your comment! :)

@@ThePaperOutpost I've been thinking about that and came to the conclusion journal-making is a form of journalling, expressing our emotions, things we like etc. The only problem with that is that while making things fulfills our need to create stuff, make things happen, it might be problem when we use journals for therapeutic purposes, to help us deal with problems. I often promise myself I'll journal at least a bit every day but keep falling asleep while constructing yet another cover.
@@AmsBloom ahahahha! You are so funny! We can make any kind of journal we like thankfully, naked ones or chunk monkeys! We can make chunk monkeys where most stuff is removable too :) One thing for sure, as long as my scrap pile is full I will keep making journals...until I fall asleep too ;)

Wow! Love, love, love, I’ just getting started, especially based on looking at your beautiful collection, but I also have “the fever”. LOL! I'm on my second journal and keep telling myself I need one for myself. My brain gets so frazzled that I always start a new project thinking this is for me then a few pages in I find something new you do so I have to try it. Next thing you know I have a "chunky monkey" as you say. Your videos are great and so addicting. You make it fun. I look forward to any new videos you make. Lol I need to stop looking at your video's so that I can finish a journal but I find that hard to do. Lol

OMGG!!!!! how wonderful are all of those junk journals. I am SO addicted to your channel. You do FABULOUS work. Every time I watch your channel I have to gut some books and make journals. I have a looooongggg way to go before they are as stunning as yours but im working on it. I just gutted 12 identical books because Im going to make myself a set of 12...all different categories. Pam, I am totally astounded! I have been hoarding papers, tags, quotes, calendars, etc for literally years. I just don’t know how to get started making just ONE JJ and now I have seen your stash. There’s no good way to put this--I am envious! I just watched the 4 part video you published today and I am so hoping it has given me the inspiration to get started. They’ve all beautiful journals and thanks for sharing.

Those journals are amazing. I have a collection of my own plus ones that I have gotten from other artists. I love them all. I have about thirty not nearly what you have!! Now I feel better about my collection!! I can keep making them!! I am so glad I found this video!!
