এই ঘটনা কিছু দিন আগে আমার সঙ্গে হয়েছে, আমাকে বলা হল CBI থেকে বলছেন আমার মেয়েকে এরেস্ট করেছেন, আমার মেয়ের বন্ধুদের কাছে ড্রাগস পাওয়া গেছে ও সঙ্গে ছিল তাই ওকেও ধরেছে, প্রথম আমি ঘাবড়ে যাই , তার পর একটু সন্ধেহ হয়, আমার হাজব্যান্ড এর ফোন থেকে মেয়ে কে ফোন করি ও জানায় ও কলেজে, এবার আমরা ফোন কেটে দি ,তার পর ও ওরা এতো ডেসপারেট 5 বার কল করে। তার পর আমরা থানায় জানাই।

This is not typical to Kolkata - we have been targeted many times with such rubbish in Delhi - and believe me this is not only in India - I also live in UK and have faced it there too. It's just that with more progress unfortunately technology has gone so far that with every upside we face a downside. Many years ago we were targeted via emails with false money inheritance mails. Now with current times it's come to digitised scams. It's actually the elderly who should be educated and warned. Thanks for highlighting your experience Souhardya.

The same thing happened to my husband just a few days back. We had gone through a trauma, luckily we didn't loose any money. But we have done a GD in local Police Station as recommended by Kolkata Police.

Something like this happened to my husband also. They called and said that a illegal shop is running using my husbands name in Hyderabad. I was with him when they called my hubby. They told us that police gonna arrest him but he can help us out by doing some settlement or else we have to go Hyderabad and file a case. We said we are willing to go to the police station. After that the cut the call and never called us back again.

I also received a similar call last month while travelling. The person mentioned that they found drugs in my package. I told them that they could sell the drug and keep the money or have the drug for free and chill. He got very frustrated and tried to over power. I then took to Bangal bhasa and said tumi script writing e "onuswor paiso". He disconnected the phone after that. This is something that is happening very frequently and you need to be very strong in dealing with these miscreants.
I also faced it 😢 I was literally shivering that moment 😢... Thanks to my husband he handled it... But most importantly they use to call me from different different numbers... Its scary

Same thing happened with me. And I just blocked him. Same thing I did this. IVR call ase amar kache, and he said identity misuse koreche, amar call ase dtdc theke😊I just blocked him.
I too received a scam call from a courier company. They said one of my parcel has been captured by Mumbai custom, which was sent from Iran😢
