    Really nice quality. F-22 low speed control looks second to none. Absolutely majestic

    Fantastic video mate!! Super nice to see the F-35 finally in action! Further terrific to witness some of the best from the F-22

      Thanks mate. Thanks for uploading trade day videos. F-35 was painfully loud. Which I loved! lol. I had to put on ear plugs for F22, so I am not sure how loud that one got.

      looks like the video was a friday; saturday was choc full. the F22 in my opinion sounds very conservative, in contrast with the F18 or the F35. As you said, the F35 was spastically loud especially for a single engine.

      m171562 why the fuck do you need earplugs for? That's not normal!!!

    Great filming, thanks a lot!.. I decided 'last minute' at 8am on Saturday to go to Avalon for Sunday's airshow...long trip from Adelaide but totally worth it..

    Great job -- the F22 is a must-watch-in-person kind of show. It's hard to catch it dancing in place on video too well as you can't portray just how much it's not actually moving on some of those vectored thrust maneuvers.

    Its really hard to see the maneuverability of the F22 with no clouds or backdrop but very impressive nonetheless!

    I'd like to see the F-35 better that Classic Hornet Display from 2015, it seems like it can, then again the first Hornet display I've seen was in the 1988 show was pretty sedate too

    • @edmundsdemonds8309
      @edmundsdemonds8309 7 років тому

      yeah i was there the f35 wasn't allowed to do any tricks because the toilet hadn't jumped through the hoops that allows you to do stunts yet because he hap probably only been flying the f35 for a few months

    • @Karyovin
      @Karyovin 7 років тому

      Edmunds demonds Yeah I guess that was a given but that break by plane 2 has shown it has a pretty impressive pitch rate

    • @trpilot6
      @trpilot6 7 років тому

      The F-35 is still operating with a bunch of restrictions. Its turn rate, max altitude, speed, max G's ect..are all still computer restricted until the final block 3F software is finished testing and is granted approval.

    • @darrenjames4022
      @darrenjames4022 7 років тому

      Karyovin the plane is capable but the pilots weren't display rated, meaning they could do nothing more than take off and basic manoeuvre within a tight envelope.

  • @damonstr
    @damonstr 7 років тому

    Too bad the F-35 display was kind of pedestrian. LM test footage shows it doing some pretty impressive stuff.

      - I think the govt has told the pilots to be very, very careful with our brand new, test-bed aircraft.

    It's safe to say the F35 will always be the skinny younger brother of the F22.
    WTF? Why didn't they simply IMPROVE -- modify with respect to adding a V/STOL capabilities -- & reduce the production cost on the F22 instead of spending multi-billions on developing a new aircraft. smh.
    .

    • @fulconer
      @fulconer 7 років тому

      You failed to get my point.
      They built the F22 and sold it with a HUGE price tag and did nothing else with it. Instead, they built the F35 and sold it with a HUGE price and will do nothing with it.
      When they built the F22, they should have IMPROVED it ... and ...reduced its s price tag by LOWERING THE COST OF PRODUCTION.
      The F22 should have EVOLVED from continuous IMPROVEMENTS, REFINEMENTS, & MODIFICATIONS of the original F-15 over 30 years.
      The single engined F35 should have EVOLVED from continuous IMPROVEMENTS etc to the F-16 or even the F-5 over 30+ years.
      But instead of taking this EVOLUTIONARY approach, the military takes the much more expensive GENERATION approach. It's a stupid way of doing things.
      First reduce production cost to its lowest possible for the original design, then start adding in new & improved avionics, sensors, materials, engines, tweaks to the aerodynamics etc ... over the decades. Don't do nothing with the current generation, and then spend 100s Billions on a new generation to do the exact same thing. Stupid.
      Sony with their Playstation game console have taken the expensive GENERATION approach which always results in EXPENSIVE price tags on the original machines. But ... then Sony starts to improve and reduce PRODUCTION costs so that their console is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper when it nears the end of its generation. Sony would have saved $billions spent on R & D for each generation by simply taking the EVOLUTIONARY approach.
      A brand new F15 & F16 are still ridiculously expensive more than 30 years after they were introduced.
      Now can see what I was actually getting at with my post?

      I believe the point is that the f35 is not the replacement of the f22, but it is merely to accompany it. I was reading a few weeks back that the f35 is meant to be more of a workhorse for the services whereas the f22 is more like the hanger queen with a very defined role. Also the main role for the f35 is that of a breacher, if we need to launch a large scale response somewhere, the f35 will be the first one to breach enemy airspace and collect crucial intelligence while disabling enemy air defenses and radar which opens the door for the f22s to come in and level everything.

    • @fulconer
      @fulconer 7 років тому +1

      Yeah. The F35 will be the F16 of the 5th(Stealth) Generation of jet fighters.
      The F22 is still an extremely capable aircraft but it is too expensive and was never going to be be sold to foreign nations. The F35 was always going to be sold to foreign countries, have multiple roles, be the workhorse and be cheaper than the F22.
      But the F22 should have naturally EVOLVED from the F15 and likewise the F35 should have evolved from the F16/F-5.
      Trillions of dollars have been wasted over the decades by tendering the next generation of fighter, instead of the much cheaper EVOLUTIONARY approach, which also includes continuous reductions in production costs for basic units & their price.
      Doesn't matter now as the F35 will likely be the last MANNED fighter Jet.
      Armed UAVs are the future of the combat branch of the Air-force.

    Why did they have the F-35's on a leash in a public air show? It didn't do any barrel rolls. It did one loop. It did some very sloooow passes and had its wheels down every damn time it came towards the runway. I KNOW the F-35 can maneuver and turn. Why do they do this crap and give ammunition to the folks on RT and all the other Russian outlets that love to say what a failure the plane is despite the capabilities it actually does have but that we just haven't seen yet. They shouldn't have put it in this air show if they were going to tell the control computers to hold it back. Another Lockheed Martin screw up.
