(late reply but whatever) No, you need to stay alive so you can experience this *in person* ;) Seriously though this video doesn't properly capture just how utterly *amazing* the band's stage sound was. Hands-down, the best mix and volume I've ever heard at a live show.
Right when that piano part came in, I knew I had to get this, because I totally never expected them to pull this whole thing off. They pretty much fucking nailed it, too.
Travis Lausch thank you so much for filming it. Ive always wanted for them to play Omega live but I️ never thought they would do it. I’m glad I was wrong
Over the years I've noticed he does them a lot live, I'm wondering if maybe that style is easier on the vocal chords than the screams on the studio version. I'm not saying that as a negative either, I actually like these screams better and wish he'd do them more on studio material.
indeed, growls are just your normal pitch voice, but yell screams are done with the pitch you use to sing which is more demanding for the voice and your stamina
Pretty sure it's actually a new custom shop Jackson Strat. Definitely said "Jackson" on the headstock. But Jackson is owned by Fender, so it's close enough! Funny enough, Javier from Animals As Leaders played an ESP 8-string "Strat" for a couple of tunes.
They were running a DI of Nolly's bass tracks live, which absolutely isn't an ideal situation, but when you're performing to a click track anyway, at least it works in the short term. If the recording is lacking bass, it's only because I recorded this with little more than an iPhone 6S camera. Trust me, you could really *feel* the bass during their set. To be honest, I kind of understand their rationale for not bringing a bassist on the road. With Nolly having been a perfect fit for the band in many, many ways, they had mentioned not wanting to shake up the chemistry between the remaining members too much by bringing in a hired gun, or worse, hiring a full-time bassist that isn't a good fit for them musically or personally. Replacing Nolly is just too hard to do for them and they're not going to let their fans down by quitting touring over it.
Travis Lausch I definitely don't blame their personal decision to not hire somebody in who wasn't gonna feel right. But I underestimated how much would be missing with backtracked bass as opposed to a live player - having a bassist matters. Car Bomb was the only band on that tour with a bassist, and they sounded absolutely terrific.
P1 remastered would be nice but there's only so many things the band can focus on at a time, and if I had to choose between one and the other I'd much prefer new music from them
Thanks! This was probably the only song in the whole set where I could actually see Misha the whole time, after some tall-ass fuckers stepped right in front of me.
This song is a masterpiece
True unadulterated perfection
Spencer sounds disgustingly amazing here, this is the best his screams have ever sounded. I want to see them preform this song so bad
Jalyus James or Reptile or any deep cut from Hail Stan since they have only played the singles from it :(
holy shit spencer klled it, some parts even better than the album
His vocals were pretty much perfect the whole damn night!
atleast someone's picking up the slack associated with having no bass
He went Tommy Rogers with some growls there.
@10:19 That Alpha reprise was absolutely goosebumps
I've said it before in another video, this song is an absolute masterpiece and seeing it performed live gives it so much more life
LMFAO at 3:10 Jakes going 'djent djent djent djent du djent'
loool
Jakes the man!
I fucking lose it at that part
11:14 Mark delivering a punch harmonic

Now I can die in peace

Oh my god this is amazing

Holy shit. I've never heard him scream like that. Rawest spencer screams I've ever heard.
Over the years I've noticed he does them a lot live, I'm wondering if maybe that style is easier on the vocal chords than the screams on the studio version. I'm not saying that as a negative either, I actually like these screams better and wish he'd do them more on studio material.

Zachary Lange ikr in the albums its different maybe it's easier for him live to scream like this
I've been waiting two years to hear this live thank you for uploading
Can't believe this was already three years ago. I was a few people to your right. Spencer was on one that night. Vocals really stood out for me
Has there ever been a band who were so amazing and took themselves so non-seriously??
Rush
I'm seeing them on the 18th! Soooooo pumped!!!
Have a blast! ;)
They put on a great show and they're tight as fuck. Might have been one of the best shows I've seen.
Omg spencer what a voice ❤️
Clearly, from the video, I can confirm he's just as good live as on the record!
Travis Lausch I cannot wait for their new album and then I'll hopefully get to see them live 😄
Me encanta mucho esta canción debería tener un vídeo oficial,,,o un live en HD
Estoy de acuerdo! (Hooray for Google Translate!)

I can't believe i seen this live. The 7 hour drive was beyond worth it

Periphery Gods
oohh I was waiting for this!!
10:53 i think the gates of hell just opened
I must have been like right near you, I was a little the right in front of Mark. Was an amazing show
Oh wow I hope they play this at the Portland show! :D
Thx!
Np!
Matt beats those drums harder than my dad beats me
Quite a feat indeed
masters....
The fact that Misha is playing this masterpiece in a vintage strat just makes it even cooler.

It's definitely not a vintage strat since it has a 20 inch fretboard radius for starters.
If you could actually make that out from the video or even just seeing it in person from anywhere other than literally right in front of Misha, kudos!
FUUUUUUCK that's a sick flame on the maple neck.
Yeah the guitarist from Northlane has one nearly identical to this as well.
this is awesome. 👏 thanks for sharing.
5:45 here in death I stay :D
sick!!
seeing a band like this perform with no bassist nothing short of a travesty

Travis Lausch I totally hear you man, all true statements

Haha this didn't age well
I was here! 🤘
Compare these Spencer screams to the P1 album.... yeah
Labedincoln Could you imagine a P1, with revamped vocals? I’d throw money out like crazy.
We need the entire p1 remastered
P1 remastered would be nice but there's only so many things the band can focus on at a time, and if I had to choose between one and the other I'd much prefer new music from them
Holy fuck, this is awesome! Thanks!
No problem! :)
Seriously how the hell the wrote this, let alone managed to pull it off live is a testament to how fucking amazing the whole band are
Lmao misha's playing a strat
it's a Jackson strat rendition but it prolly had like bare knuckless lol
@@joshisbats8904 i know, it's his custom shop jackson, it's just funny
-spencer to do more lows 2018-
spencer godmode sotello
vocals over 9000 and what a fucking hard track to sing dammit
THAT FUCKING SLAMMMM AT THE ENDDDD
LET ME SEE UR HAMMERS
ZOMBIE CIRCLE PIT
SHOW ME SHOW ME
10:54 - 11:25 best part of the song
10:33 holy fucking shit... did he just hit a C6????
He very well might have. All I know is I got the chills when he did that at the show.
D6. And this is his highest note.
Those security guards seem so oblivious to how great this band is
♎
Can anyone tell what Mark's saying at the start?
11:13 *Zakk Wylde has entered the chat*
What I would of done to be in that crowd omfg
Nice riffage, i can sense chromatic/ classical elements. Xx
Nice fucking camera angle dude
Thanks! This was probably the only song in the whole set where I could actually see Misha the whole time, after some tall-ass fuckers stepped right in front of me.
