This was always one of my all time favorite minor hits because it is so damned pretty. When foreign language songs were still being played on American Radio.
Toshimasa Kusudo: "It was also released in Japan in early 1966 under the title "Kiss the Sun". It wasn't a big hit, but it's a very romantic and beautiful song. By the way, it was the Italian version in Japan. It ’s natural, is n’t it a song related to the Sanremo Music Festival?" (Translated)
I heard this song on the radio this morning for the first time on a local station that sometimes plays obscure stuff. I am glad I was able to track this down. It is impossible to depressed when watching and listening to this. You can understand the song without a translation.
Bra jobbat!
Love this, it's the version I remember from my childhood....I'm Italian and my mom had this 45' record and understood the lyrics, so I assume it's sung in Italian....can someone correct me on this, are the words Italian?.....would love to know, because if it's not I'm very confused...LOL....Thanks so much for sharing and bringing back good memories of my Mother : )))))))
Toppen.
Peaked as high as No. 58 on the US Billboard Hot 100 Charts in 1964. A great tune.
This is the first swedish artist charting on bilboard
Vila i frid Umberto Marcato. Tack för allt.
Played in Los Angeles on KRLA and KFWB. I remember it well as a kid!

I've been listening to this song since it charted in 1964. I loved it then and I still love it now. 54 years later. ❤

Clip is from my favourite childhood Danish film "Forelsket I København"

Hörde just låten på Sportradiom.
I've loved this song for decades. I would love to find the all-Italian version lyrics and a backing track!
Lyrics are online with translation!

Song of my youth! This is the version I heard in Hollywood. Thank you sooo much! This brought back life’s emotions!
