You might be the only person I've watched that can put together a video that shows you everything clearly and doesn't waste your time.

Good deal! We just inherited a 96 Grand Am GT and this is one of the few issues with it. Thank you for sharing!

I just tried this on my 2004 G/P. Not the same. 4 screws to remove the frt face. (plus the 4 clips, 2 upper and 2 lower. When removing the face, a couple ribbon plugs caught on the bottom. No slack. Pulled a few small wires out of it.The bulb isn't mounted as above. Must be on the frt face of the circuit board. Failure. Now to a shop.

Thanks for the video. Was thinking about changing the head unit, but the monsoon is pretty decent. Finding a bulb sucks. GM discontinued. I tore out the bulb element and put a LL73 bulb from auto zone. 2 bulb pack $6. Just straighten the contacts on the bulb, insert it into the plastic retainer and bend the contacts into the ones on the plastic piece (could probably solder the).

Electrically Conductive Glue | Solderless Soldering might melt the plastic

Hi, by any chance is this a common '194' bulb that is also used in side marker lamps, etc. ? Also does this bulb come with the socket and can't be separated? Do you have the part number for it ? Thank you !

If the radio works it's the bulb.

Related to Pontiac radio repair: if I have mid and treble only from the front right and nothing from the back right channels: is it likely that it is a bad transistor or bad resistor and worth tearing into the unit. The car is a 2010 new-to-me and I like what is there, I just want it as it was. I'll replace it if I _have_ to.
