Welcome back! On the Rolling Stones tribute CD, Sugar Blue is actually a solo artist, best known for blues music. He played the harmonica on the original "Miss You" single, which why he was included here. I saw him at the Chicago blues festival ten years ago and he did a great show. He has a few albums out on Alligator records.
This is the ultimate time to buy cds from the thrifts, they are almost giving cds away! I have 2 mom and pop thrift stores around me that sells discs for 3 for a buck! Goodwill, cds are a buck per.
@garyoftheelysiums2589 Welcome back brother! It's been a hot minute! Lots of new music has been released this year. Since you and I enjoy all types of music, check out the new Suki Waterhouse album. "Memoirs of a Sparkle Muffin". Great indie/alternative album. Also Tyla's self titled album is so good. Also, Opeth's new album has been delayed to November 22. It was suppose to be released this past Friday, October 11. "the last will and testament" is the new album title. and guess what? the growls are back on this one. 16 years since we heard growls on Opeth's album, "watershed". So imagine Opeth's 4 recent albums, mixed with the old school death metal growls. It's on the new album. it's a concept record. I can't recall the concept of the album. But all songs are numbered in sections. For example, 2 songs that have been released from the album are, Section 1, and Section 3. Super excited to hear this new album. So when it gets released, pick up a copy. I hope you're doing well my friend, and let's keep continuing to keep the physical media alive. Yeah man, 2024 has been a good year in music. Also ghost came out with a live album at the end of july and it's very very good. "right here right now" soundtrack. and it includes a new ghost song on the live album. so much music man that i highly recommend you check out.
Glad to see Gary back. Thanks for the shoutout.
