In Canada many trucking companies are following a wrong practice.
Companies are following unwritten rules are truck drivers are forced to accept that else the truck driver will not be hired in the company or if the truck driver is hired by the company he don't get work.
Trucking company are holding 2 weeks pay of truck drivers and day they will pay at the end when truck driver leave the company. But when the truck driver leave the company and join some other company these trucking companies don't give the money that they hold and when the driver asks for money, the trucking company disrespect the truck driver and ask him to leave the office. Moreover the trucking company gives a bad reference of the truck driver who joined the new company so that when the driver dont get work in new company the driver will come back to old trucking company and beg for work and say sorry for asking for his pay for what he worked. Moreover companies without any discussion with hiring the truck driver they deduct $200 / month saying its a safety decision other than the 2 week pay tat was on hold + trucking companies don't pay waiting charges properly. Everytime the driver has to argue to pay but sometimes trucking companies pay but most of the time don't pay. So even after working truck driver is not paid for his work. No matter how many trucking company you charge, all are doing fraud!
Owner operator don't pay safety bonus or other bonus to truck drivers but trucking companies say we paid to truck drivers. Owner operator dont pay for Driver orientation but trucking companies say we pay.
Please make a video on this as how to handle this situation with complete details as how to get money/ pay back.
Also please suggest will the driver go to labor court or will go to a Lawyer ?
