When New England college student Natalie finds herself at the center of a series of sadistic murders seemingly inspired by urban legends, she resolves to find the truth about Pendleton's own legend, a twenty-five-year-old story of a student massacre at the hands of an Abnormal Psych professor. Scream Meets I Know What You Did Last Summer = Urban Legend.
This ending is strange. The two main characters told Reese that they would get her help.Paul told Natalie that paramedics're on the way. So then where are they driving to? Woudn't it make more sense to be there with Reese while waiting for cops and paramedics?And also they would have noticed Brendas body was missing before they got in the car?
They needed a twist! It's one of those things that you don't think about at the time because of what's happening. You either don't pick up on, or only awhile later or after a second viewing, so at the time, you enjoy it.
We're not supposed to think too hard about it, like with any slasher film.
The characters of both Reese and Brenda lived and appear in the sequel
I wish Brenda Bates and Ben Willis from I Know What You Did Last Summer would become a thing. They would be a deadly duo.

@@bradydefelice2944 There should be. I wish there was a hybrid movie: I Know What Urban Legend You Did Last Summer. Basically it's one 3 hour movie that fuses the characters and events of both movies with Brenda assisting Ben in IKWYDLS killing the teens who ran him over. With her help, he is successful and the last thing we see from that portion of the movie is Julie and Ray's bodies on ice next to Helen and Barry. Then to lay low for a few days, Ben joins Brenda at Pendleton University and helps her carry out her series of murders. With Ben's help, Brenda kills Natalie and Paul.
