Some of you wanted to see more Budokai Tenkaichi 3 stuff, so here's a Survival Mode run with Vegeta. This is purposefully on the Superplay side of TASing, as I'm certain that the Speedrun side would consist of nothing but spamming Ultimate Moves all the time. Thanks for watching!

Back in the day when I first bought this game I knew how amazing it was. I was so impressed by the level of characters to choose from and the fact that the characters had ALL of their transformations. Literally all of them. The attention to detail in this game was amazing. No more sidescroller fighting either. Total freedom and in depth fighting controls. You didn't have to just memorize lengthy combos through repetition like other fighting games, you had freeflow freedom.
The fact that this hasn't been recreated since is a testament of how well done this game was. Extremely ahead of its time. Seemingly decades ahead...
Well if we're talking about the combat system, Tenkaichi 2 was competitively speaking much more in-depth than T3. T3 is my go-to game for casual play, while Tenkaichi 2 is the competitive game i'm learning.

Id be lying if i said that i wasnt at least a little bit suprised tenkaichi wasnt more well known in the fgc when i heard about it. Im also a little suprised that this didnt become more of a standard of how fighting games were played as opposed to the 2d games we play now. Especially for its time of ~16 whole years ago, this feels like something that would revolutionize fighting games as a whole
Yet somehow, with every 3d fighting game, nothing has hit even close to the sort of quality this has. Even xenoverse 2, its closest successor (if even that), didnt even really strike close to this sort of quality.

It's actually an unlockable perk I think, it allows you to dodge every part of a mutiple hit attack if you manage to dodge the first one with circle

@The Pixelizer its not a machine dumbass...TAS is where you slow the game down frame by frame and use save and load data incase the player messes up to create a perfect game

I got some naruto knowledge but if you can get an AI to substitute or teleport twice (once behind then back to the front,)to psych you, but fails, your a champ, or if they do a heavy attack and miss and you counter, your a champ. Especially if your only moving essentially

Trunks calls Vegeta a loser. Vegeta gives him the parenting of a lifetime. Vegeta feels so conflicted his emotions split him into two beings to resolve his anguish. You're really good at making these fights look very entertaining and stylish, especially with all the transformations, clashes, teleportations (or rather dodges) and ki-ball reflections. Awesome stuff. And the 60fps make it a double dip.

I wish Xenoverse did th attack negation instead of cinematic clashes. If you both attack at the same time you both do no damage.
Actually it creates a small explosion which does damage.

what i love the most is how all the ki energy attacks look. they have never looked better even if its inferior graphics. they captured what they should look like in a 3d media perfectly to this day i think this is how ki would look like irl. And on top of that they even made each signature ki attack from each character look unique like the big bang attack which i always thought was a bland looking attack, just a ki ball but this game makes it look different and unique somehow. Best dbz fighting game of all time

If you had said FighterZ was more complex, I'd have agreed. FighterZ, being an arcade fighting game, will obviously be hard to learn, but BT3 is on that level too.

BT3 has the godly developers touch of changing the characters moveset when they transform, for all forms. In xenoverse ALL FORMS have the same moveset (for example goku base, ssj ssj2 and ssj3) this just seems very wrong to me... :(

I owned mostly all of the Budokai games in existence DBZ Budokai 1,Budokai 2,Budokai 3,Infinite World,Tenkaichi 1,Tenkaichi 2,and Tenkaichi 3 my favorite out all of them has to be Tenkaichi 3 it was the perfect DBZ game I them all at the time
Bro how is this on ps2 omg the details are stunning. The dashs, combos, teleport back, the fact that u can parry ki blasts back and fly fleely, the transformations, enviroment destruction, insane how the atention to detail makes it the greatest dragon ball game of all time, it's crazy we don't get anything like that in 15 years, imagine this with ps5 graphics and new mecanics, the same roster etc

Seeing vegeta's hair change from base to super saiyan, despite how subtle of a change it is, made me so happy yet sad at the same time. Happy because this game has such an attention to detail and a whole lot of love behind it, and sad because we've never gotten a dragonball game with that attention to detail ever since.
