I mean, yes, every war has its geopolitical aspects but Russian Empire and its tsars were extremely religious. Bolsheviks main platform and criticism of monarchy was based on how religiosity of tsars made terrible geopolitical mistakes.

This gives perspective into Trump's offer to purchase Greenland. Neither Denmark nor Greenland are in a position to defend that land should Russia or China decide to overtake it. Coming under US control by contract is a better solution than 100%+ loss...
