Again thanx to Falco Heaven fanpage, bringing tears to my eyes, the sound of 6 inch November Autumn leaves under my boots as I slid through the Jewish entrance to the Friedhof. Saw the self righteous& pointless destruction of many family graves . Crossed far , past the evening church, under the blackening sky in tiny winds within the gates, the gale&hints of snow rallying outside in the traffic. The honored silence for the 330,000 ++ residents within . Leading me past the incredible, enormous circle of angels&dignitaries, family mausoleums, & ancient beheaded or limb-amputated stone humans, always backed by timeless obelisks, or immovable blocks to hold everyone's names in somber memory . This, all the way to the opposite side, knowing there was but a half-hour before closing, we finally came to the Catholic section-first we saw the veteran's eminent flag, followed by the ever-present obelisks throughout the grounds . & finally, exhausted, we saw the life-size glass apotheosis - the finest representation of Falco - Johannes Hölzel , his memorial , beside the one woman he trusted his entire life, hisvmother, Maria. Then came our small tributary, among meny, beside him, a few quick&as dignified as possible camera shots ( however F.F. does it best, most respectful , a video of only his & mama's memorial , set to lovely music, under grey or blue skies it always gives the würdevoll setting that Falco's intrinsic talents & amazing, hard-earned achievements deserve. & we know, Falco, you lived to bring joy, you tried so diligently to treat others as you would wish to be treated( but the demon alcohol can encourage the worst in the best of us). You charmed, you made us laugh, often at your own expense with your unuque personality ( like you, my grandmother used to tell me, "B.B. , when god made you, he broke the mold.," which i'm certain you heard from many...) , your inimitable self, only one in 10 trillion, like dna, even more difficult to remain außergewöhnlich du , the only soul like you in a zillion galaxies, in a timeless existence . This was our moment with you. & although possibly undignified to the Austrian people who honoured you so, so many who walked the Friedhof that day young&old, helped us to find your memorial, especially one older fellow, he hiked with a cane, spry & happy to help 2 late-comer,odd-ball Falco-seeking Californians , at the freezing end of November, yet so oddly warm in the cemetery( although even in my suede gloves, my hands could barely operate the camera!). He followed behind us, continuing to smile & tell us, " go,go,go," everytime we looked back at him. He helped us find you, Hans- we wanted to hug him, but he had already taken his right, toward another exit in the park. It was beautiful. So we came to your side, got some pix for our trip home, & so exhausted, on our last night in Vienna, we began to weep. The Falco Lebt bench nearly brought us down, & both my husband& i did cry, when we finally turned in the talking leaves to find our way back out. Which was just as gorgeous as thecway in, more memorials& a few end-of-evening stones hidden under leaves. But we kept turning back, to say our goodbys, & our definate " see you next times" , to Falco, & thr wonderfulbpeople , themselves in a class, above 1st class, of their own. We said it many times, " we love you, Falco," "we love you Austria," & we hope, so much, to someday soon make it out of the fall of the Roman empire( America!) , & be welcomed, to stay, back into the arms of the Ausrian people, speaking Österreichisch, as citizens. We love Falco,your country,language,patient& dear people,breathtaking geography, & people, history, & land underfoot that vibratedcwith a sense of being HOME . We cannot thank Austria,Austrians, & of course Falco Heaven fanpage 2023 for letting me know in April,we could see a grand Rock Me Amadeus show,dedicated to Fal o,at the Ronacher on a Friday night in November. We must return- we want to go on a specifically Falco-directed 2-4 day(& nightlife!!) tour of his haunts&home,memorial statues, musicals, & maybe his statue& a visit to hisxreserved table,as well as his video locations, & performances, i did not learn until we returned, that go on around the city for Falco- one we missed by days in particular at Cabaret Fledermaus. Put a good tour together, we wantvto return for a few weeks in Austria, & an q8-day/night river cruise on the blue Danube, hopefully catching a Falco river concert onbit- thoughvwe will be travelinh in fall&winter this - we missed snow by days, & had no time to get as far west as exciting yet intimate Innsbruck. The q50th Christmas world's fair honour for 2023 was wonderful, as the traditional Sachertorte, & im no coffe drinker, but never had a sweeter or richer Chai in my life. Thank you Vienna, Austrians,& Falco. We will be back soon- to use our Austro/German I,II,III, & IV +culture too ... as well as anything we missed( more Falco, shows, places, & more Viennese,;people, places... & the tours... wish you'd give a Falco tour, fanpage, with all your photos& knowledge!! Do you?? We must see the church during the day, see the museum . The concerts, & Mozart as well. Looking forward to getting a job& not just any job, like the 2 we were offered to both of us when we were there for the month.
