Just bought the curling cream and gel :) I have more loose curls/wavy hair and I heard its great with that. The products I'm using now have just stopped working with my hair so WE'LL SEE!

I tried both of these products but found they were too heavy for my fine hair texture. It weighed my curls down even though I only used minimal amounts of product and I found my hair wasn't as soft as it usually is. I wanted to like them so much🙁

Ok, but the defining cream has parafin/wax, which is NOT curly girl method approved. I feel like that should have been disclosed, since you've got people who may be trying to find products to follow the CGM, coming on this channel, thinking what is recommended will be ok. Granted -- they SHOULD do their own research, but still. Just a little heads up would have been nice.
Suec76 I don’t strictly follow the cg method and most of my subscribers know that because I mention it often. So that was not something I was even aware of. But it shouldn’t be assumed that every curly UA-camr strictly follows the cg method cuz some do and some don’t and that’s ok. I’ve never said the products I recommend are strictly cg, so that’s up to each person to do their research if that is their preference. I recommend what I like and what works for me.

I found the cream to be too sticky and actually caused a lot of build up. My hair got hella frizzy. Might just be my type of ethnic textured hair.

The cream is not Curly Girl Friendly as it contains Paraffin and requires Detox or Sulphate to wash out.
I looked into the ingredient, it's c 13-14 isoparaffin apparently it's a thickening agent and curly girl okay :)

I agreed! I bought them for my 8 years old girl and not only dont work as it says, the smell is horrible! Smells like scramble eggs. Now I use the brand aussie and they so good and smell so delicious. Try them! You wont regret!
