Good comparison!! I’m an OG head, mostly collect vintage stuff but I can recognize that the quality of those later run Champion authentics (95+) isn’t up there with the M&N. If you can get your hands on an early run Champion(91-94) it would be much closer. The early run authentics retailed between $130-$250 or so depending on the team and quality was almost pro-cut level. Champion cut the quality and the cost in 95 to sell more jerseys. I have an early run David Robinson, it makes my late run Robinson look like it came from Wal-Mart lol.

Jordan letters on the game used jerseys on the back were dropped approximately 5 1/2 inches from the neck line. Thing I always had an issue with both Champion and Nike "authentic" jerseys were that they were only dropped approximately 3 1/2 inches from the neck line. M&N does a great job of replicating closest to how the original game issued jerseys were. Plus their finish is bar none the best out on the market, short of sourcing the original game issued... and even then compared to the vintage pieces M&N quality might be a bit higher overall. I'm bit of a Jordan jersey freak, at one point had all the variants, including actual game issued ones. Anyway, M&N does a great job and that is what I wear these days. I don't even bother with the older Champion or Nike.
My only thing is that you are putting the actually jersey worn by the bulls in that time (Champion) 3rd behind the other two? Which in reality are more fashion jerseys because Nike and M&N didn't make bulls jerseys for the 96-97 season.
It would be first as far as nostalgia but if I had to recommend a jersey for someone it was be 3rd as far as craftsmanship, obviously partly due to age, I also think it would be nice to have Champion remake jerseys and see with new technology how would these jerseys turn out.

I had the black authentic jordan jersey as a teenager (don't think it had the gold logo) and even back then I thought the quality was pretty crap. The white stitching that was always visibly coming off the letters/numbers just made it look cheap. And the patches themselves (letters and numbers) were so thick and stiff that I remember it being a pretty uncomfortable jersey to wear. In reality, it was nowhere near "authentic", meaning something the players actually wore - that was obvious. I bought it because it was the only jersey you could get that had stitched instead of printed letters and numbers. Wish I still had it though.
