After finally breaching the castle, Maria and her crew come face to face with David Zero! After learning of his devil fruit power, Maria leaves him to her crew, and races to the final hall, but not before coming in contact with Meteor's late wife, Valeria, who reveals Meteor's real name as James Nova.
After begging and pleading for Maria not to kill James to no avail, Maria finally comes face to face with the man of the hour himself, who expresses slight guilt, and hesitation before fighting her!
