I told my wife you picked the name I came up with. She said she’s proud of me. You saved my marriage.

Buildings very rarely use "invisible Ped Paths" because they mostly use _Walking_ and _Hangaround_ *Areas*, which you can only see when using the actual Area tool (not Surface Tool). The new assets from the CCPs certainly add something to modern downtowns.

FYI, Namdaemun is not korean 'temple', it's one of the Eight Gates in the Fortress Wall of Seoul. The name 'Namdaemun' means literally 'South Gate' (reminds me of former english national football team manager... :)

Great new downtown additions! Next week you need to add more housing to Bourbon since you demolished so many homes for the new city center

It's always good to add some chunky assets into the heart of the downtown! Those sightlines through from one corner to the other are amazing.

Hoping that the Japanes pack is modern - that will sit nice with the recent urban and prommanade packs, and hopefully include some fresh business/office spaces. What a wild ride we are on as we tour the globe :)
Impressedwith the way you handled the terrain jank. I'm building on AncientSwan's Faial, Azores map and of course the terrain is challenging, but this has given me some ideas of how to deal with elevation changes. Funny that the local builders here seem to be able to build on virtually any slope without problems! But in cities skylines we have to 'cheat' with terraces and deal with those freckin' cliffs! LOL.

I'm liking all of the new packs!! The modern will always be a big city look to me. Living out of cities for the majority of my life now, I'm all about green and not cement, but these assets really do add a lot to the cities!! Very nice build🤩

The aesthetic of those buildings are magnificent, I wanna see more of those, in fact I would of hope for next time they add quadruple amount of assets with uniqueness styles, this hits different, I really like when they have this idea, this mindset of making assets look very unique and different instead of similar assets with little changes, sometimes it's most likely a clone with different colors and swapped... I really enjoyed the UK pack, and this DLC also has lots of elements that make me satisfied, like those service buildings, the ones with modern architecture with upgrades into the footprint of the building makes a lot more sense to me, in comparison to those with sub buildings, I understand, it was made before that change, but I really expect thiem to get updated someday, I don't think it will age well if in the next years we get more and more assets, and those untouched will be outdated, so I hope they will update it, and make the sub buildings of it look more spontaneous to the asset, like those towers, and little office sub buildings, jt might look out of place....the service buildings that I loved the most was those from UK pack, the details are on point and I hope that the mindset changes, to make those upgrades more integrated to the footprint, and those dislocated to look more part of the asset, but it's because of the limitations of the asset building zone, if you are making a 3x5 asset you have to stick to it, you cant make a 3x5 asset look like a 5x6 unfortunately... I evwn got a idea to fix those, eventually, with the asset editor, I imagine that there should be a tool where you can have the option to make a asset with the sizes you really want to be, and it will have additional units around it that gives you the freedom to make a regular low level asset of 3x4 with the extra space of a 3x6 so what it technically does, it give that impression that even if the building is small, the backyard will have that long empty space that after leveling up the asset upgrades and claim that space, and then I formulated that idea in my head 🤔 if service and management buildings can have Upgrades, why not Regular buildings from all growable zones would also have the upgrade system, but the AI will do it, accordingly to the wealth of those householders, so in that way, the Asset Editor creators can set up low level assets that have the space of the plot with a full size backyard but eventually the building levels up, and the conditions for the asset to upgrade and change it's looks, and look more unique and different to one another, like 🤔 you make the regular asset and just plan the design of upgrades with different options and designs, and set a leveling system for those upgrades, and connect them to the milestones from the game and advancement of the city, that way I think the modders will do less assets and probably focus on upgrades to one asset with multiples design like tier 1 to tier 15. 🤔 most of the time what we see is lots of clones and repetitive assets, but if in the future a asset creator thinks about a unique building and focus on upgrades to leveling styles, and it simulates the progression and time for those buildings though years of developments, imagine how cool those buildings will look, I feel like assets should think about having the Upgrade mechanic to regular RCI Growables, and the AI will level up them based in a theme for those zones...this somehow could be a bridge to procedural mechanics 🤔
What makes a city dead is the fact those assets don't change, don't age, don't decay in time, the industries and old looking buildings don't age, I don't even know if Colossal Order want old looking buildings in the game, we got lots of modern stuff, hopefully it doesn't go too far like Sim City Cities of Tomorrow... I don't like futuristic stuff... 💀
I want Cities Skylines 2 to embody the time progression for those old cities and and the growth of the urbanization and modern architecture taking over, CS right has a little bit of everything everywhere mixing all things together in one place, like it has no identify, you can make small districts with different themes from other countries here and there...but it could be cool if there's a situation that you're playing a full American region, then you use the European architecture and it would look completely accurate, but adapting the cultures like in those colonies, you might have a mixed style combining elements from each other and give a identity to those cultures ...this was what it sounded like when I saw the very first teaser for Cities Skylines 2 a year ago, it looked so different, what the game has now is a messy and small piece of some locations and you can't really make a big scale city with the current amount of buildings, too little amount, this is because the game lacks the lore and his identity, those big maps with a limited amount of options will eventually make things more dead, the repetitive assets will always haunt City Builder games, right now there's no way to actually space for making gigantic cities from IRL...i think we're very far away from getting there, maybe only after 10 generations of Computer technologies to come....of course not in my last years of life that I still have left.... I was so confident that CS2 was the right generation, but I didn't get far from what we already have, we're stuck in the molds for Sim City and new ones that try to reach the next generation... I'm almost 30 years old, soon I will be busy with my own family and there's a possibility that the next generation will only happen in the next 20 years, in a timeline that GTA 6 was probably the last one from the franchise, Rockstar probably move on and made a new title, EA still figuring out what's the next generation for Battlefield games, Minecraft will still be Minecraft...I will be bald, my back will be hurting a lot, I will probably give no f about anything, I don't know if I will continue to play games forever, or if I will still keep looking for Cities Skylines, if there's a chance of no more sequels in the future, or if someone will cook the real next generation City Builder, right now my fav is Workers & Resources Soviet Republic, what I think that archived the new generation checkpoints and is probably cooking something magnificent for next sequel, thus is what gives me hope nowadays... There's probably a chance that I might look more happier to CS2 in 6 years, but not right now, it's unfinished, missing lots of content that needs to be added at once like bike lanes, containing walls, biomes for different looking maps, maybe change the unit/plot/asset zoning mechanic to a more realistic tools from real life city planning methods, maybe zoning buildings in angles formats for better looking European assets.... maybe different types of modes for gameplay, WRSR has lots of options, real time and realistic modes, and historical maps with real life regions and scenarios.... Cities Skylines 2 is just empty of new ideas, has no identity and prefers to have a piece of everything at everywhere and throw it into one map...

I believe that in the production and making of the game, they should have planned more and thought about have more depth to American regions, to have more buildings with good looking architecture and more detailing, more realism, in scale and not to be stuck in s code that forces all assets to be done in the format that those grids and units have, I believe that all asset creators don't like to be limited to this mechanic, the limitations of those scales in the game annoys me so much, they didn't change it even when we been asking them to do it in the sequel.... Anyway, CS2 came out, got mixed reviews, people still play and are hopeful for the game, but we got a first fiasco Beach DLC that they had to remove it and make it free, we still remember the 4 palm trees 💀 Cities Skylines 1 took years to look good because of thousands of mods, credits to the modders, but technically the devs didn't do 50% those mods did all those years, most of the time they was fixing things the devs messes up, like cartoonish looking buildings, wrong scales and sizes... limitations of 4x4 zoning, now we got 6x6 but still small, and because of it modders can't do more stuff because of those limitations.... seems like the Cities Skylines 2 of the teaser trailer will take 5 years to get there, and more 8 years to look finished, and before 10 years anniversary, they announce the sequel saying it's the right time and they're ready to do it 💀
Cities Skylines 2 still have that early access look, bugs and the weird tunnels that seems to not be the priority to change, we don't have tunnels variations, bridge options, retaining walls, biomes, map makers, map generator, easy way to make maps, edit maps, no churches for European style, no bicycle lanes, no park maker, zoning tools for parks, little amount of services and Management or tourist attractions, museum, events, scenarios, animations with people in the schools, working places, police patrol doesn't have them walking around, can't see them, they're all cars, fire animation sucks, those icons hurt my brain.... Little and non exists options to have a city in a separate island with no highway connections, can't have a proper island city using water transportation or anything.... everything is road connection....the roads have no different styles to adapt to the region themes, little option to road detailing, have to again install mods, download those of mods in the future, so we needed as the first DLCs Transit and Management content packs, Park & Sports and more Recreation packs, at least 25 different but unique Maps with scenarios and good looking maps with different options for each so you can choose a style for your city and not stick to the brainrot outdated idea of having little and scarce resources, and completely crazy interchanges everywhere when you just want to make a cool little small town, we needed more options, we needed a complete feel to the game in it's release...not a beta looking version...a probability of paying for a DLC to get bike lanes or important features locked in DLCs when the vanilla is dying for help and is left in a critical condition, people who don't know anything about the game doesn't understand what's mods, where to get different maps, what mods to use, more assets, better maps...you download the game and you see a scarce amount of maps...you are stuck in vanilla for what... I feel bad for those who have to play Cities Skylines 1 without mods and DLCs... o7

I find it way too funny that all of these Cities UA-camrs, as nice folks as I'm sure they are, have turned into the most stereotypically cynical government types that just "want the homeless to go away; they're ruining my lovely *thing."*
