Gary did a video 7 years ago talking about his CTE where his condition was looking pretty grim. It honestly looks like he has improved considerably. Its good to see that he is doing well.

Bro bear needs to slow down with the banter when theyre having good conversations. Let it goo and play out. Its a conversation between two legends. You dont need to hop in and ask questions the whole time and interrupt a good conversation about the old times between them. I understand you get views from it. Bit let them conversate more and stop hopping in so often. Give it more time between interjecting yourself in it.

I would love to see Bear organize a walk and talk in japan with pride legends like mayhem, gary goodridge, frank shamrock, bas rutten...and relive the experience, restaurants and bars and people and old stadiums. I didn't understand the dynamic between Bear and Rampage at first but after awhile it's grown to being my favorite podcast to listen to. Bear poking at an actual bear is hilarious, but we gotta give him props for asking guests some of the best questions.
What Rampage often explains regarding the reaction to top bosses in PRIDE. The fearful bowing etc. This is not indicative of Yakuza being present. It can be like that in a restaurant, a school or a local public office.
I'm not saying they are wrong, but this is not significant.
To this day Sakakibara has never been arrested indicted or even close to convicted of anything. I personally don't think PRIDE, DREAM or RIZIN are that ganged out.
I'm not saying zero, but it's not what they think.
Not trying to punk the convos here. They're excellent, but the Yakuza bit is not at all definitive.
And neither are the Japanese drug testing stories.

Rampage is spot on, Yakuza is everywhere in Japanese Culture BUT it's not spoken of openly so it's out of sight out of mind so when something becomes public, its not acceptable so FujiTV pulling out they lost a ton of financing and it was doomed! RIP PrideFC, the greatest MMA organization to ever exist!

We all know the UFC doesn't do enough to take care of these guys when they retire after giving EVERYTHING to the organisation, for not a lot of money. If Dana changed that, he'd get so much more love from the community.
