  • Basics of High-Pressure Measuring and Regulating Station Design
    Recorded November 2, 2017
Presented by Jim Witte, Flow Measurement, Mechanical Engineering Division, Southwest Research Institute
This webinar presents the design considerations that should be addressed when designing a pressurized flow loop for safety and overpressure protection. Designing a safe flow facility in a pressurized situation starts long before pipe is assembled. An in-depth review of the potential pressure sources, permissible actions, and potential failure modes must be performed before a design is realized. Once the facility is fabricated, it must be commissioned and operated in a safe manner. Case studies on the application of overpressure protection for single-phase liquid and gas flow facilities will be presented.
