The one tip that I would like everyone to focus the most on is having voice chat on, there has been hundreds of times where a random does not have voice chat on, and then he goes to A instead of B because he can’t hear us, gets in a 1v3 then dies. A team that can work together and hear each other is the strongest team in the match.

Ngl, i really liked this content and i think its under looked of the mental factors for games. Which is confidence and ways to feel good about progress despite not feeling like youve peogressed as much.
You make a very interesting point that I feel I didn’t go enough in depth with. FPS all rounders like The Finals aren’t only about aiming and tracking . It’s also the mindset in which you enter the game and how you support your team to reach that common goal . 🥅

Honestly I don't EVER use voice chat because of the toxicity in this game. It's frustrating to want to unwind and play a game and be willing to work together to just have people start getting upset cause they're losing.
Idk u sound like the problem. If you wanna just “unwind” than don’t go playing ranked and go to quick cash where u belong. Your literally proving why people don’t like playing ranked with lazy teammates that won’t callout. Already know ur bad at the game just by reading your comment. Stay in quick cash where the children belong

I feel like I’m pretty good at the finals, I only usually play casual but I can pop 20+ kills in a match. I wanna play ranked so bad but I just don’t have a team and solo Q experience is horrible
20 kills per game ?? That’s huge man !! If you do 20 kills per game you’ll love it in rank even in soloQ!
Let me give you an advice - I don’t know how much you play but I’ve done soloQ the entire season and while there are some very frustrating games, if you keeps you coms open, you’ll often end up in a team with at least one decent guy. And if you do, it’s quite easy to rematch-up with him ! Don’t get discouraged my man . We need more monsters like you on the ladder !!
@@Kapp-10 not every game but I usually have at least 14 kills, and I’ve got around 200 hours I think now I just feel like I’ve left it too late. Next season I’m going to play ranked more though I think I’ve won unranked tournaments before but it’s a different kettle of fish
@@petergriffin9929 I think you’re ready to take on ranked properly and that’s what really matters. No need to get diamond straight from s1! Plus s1 was really complexified by the game being so new . S2 will be much more fun and stable . You’ll rock it 100%
Honestly bro solo q ranked is less annoying than solo q pubs especially if you find yourself being mvp most games.

I have been diamond since CB1. I am hoping that the ranking system gets a rework. Once you get around platinum I think the skill level is very similar and it's just a FP grind. Not a super rewarding system and i think it tends to cause burnout for people who can't no life the game like top 500 chasers can. I know for me personally and many of my finals squad mates, we all took a big step back from the game after hitting diamond after grinding for about a month after release. Hopefully embark will do something to make it more enticing for high elo players to stick around
I think you will like my next video 😉 we share the same point of view. While I will give them the benefit of the doubt, the game being so young , the ranking system is not on par with the rest of the game at the moment and something needs to change. I am 100% convinced that half, if not more, of the active players we lost as the season went on is because of that alone. Every point counts to every player. i started playing ranked yesterday, after having around 50hours ingame on my character and having reached diamond in open beta 1 and 2. the way that the ranked matchmaking works means that i can't play with people that are silver and actually stuck there because the lobbies are just too competitive (filled with plat and dia) & people don't really want to play with me since i've not at least hit gold yet. I'm not at the level of diamond at all but i'm having to play against teams of plat/diamonds whilst not having the oppurtunities to make mistakes and not be disproportionately punished unlike them, who started on the ladder earlier in the game when people knew less and there were just more players. it's been a struggle to improve since i don't even get to make many mistakes since every time one small one is made the teams just know so much they can instantly abuse it, which can lead to a wipe & then that's just less time played in a ranked match. The diamonds, plats and golds i'm playing with i'm doing around as good as. When i play healer, i end up with 4-5k support score and around 2.5k+ combat score. when i play turret, i get over 5k combat score. i revive the most out of my teammates, i call out more than them (apart from one guy i play with). it's a struggle. I can do all the things that are skill based as well as them but i can't execute on knowledge based tactics such as spawn manipulation. i lost my last match with 7 kills in hte final round against an all diamond team where one of my two diamond teammates only got 1 (the other got 8). the ranked space at such a high competitive level is very difficult to learn in, compared to earlier in the game. it's hard
First of all, thank you Izan for sharing your experience. I think and hope Embark will see and hear player feedback like this because this is one of the problems that is polluting the game and causing a lot of the player base to have left.
Secondly I’d say this :
Rank mode should ALWAYS be set to match players of the same rank. Otherwise how can it be called a “ladder”? Every player is entitled to grow their gameplay over time and not get stomped just because embark doesn’t have enough players to put lobbies of the same rank. This issue is critical and I have hopes that embark will tackle it for season 2. I’d much rather wait 5 more minutes in the lobby creation and be matched with people my rank than the version it is on now.
I feel your struggle but I want to believe that the creators of this amazing game will not let it go to waste for such a stupid mistake. Let’s believe in them and keep supporting them to see if by continuously bringing your kind of feedback. In the meantime, this is why I create videos like this one. The more knowledgeable we are about what we can control, the better we can help the team we are placed in. No matter the rank. Keep pushing my friend. You will get your 💎

Its not that simple for someone like me. Its my first fps that i am really hooked on, im still in bronze, i have 160 hours played in the game but im old, man! :) i am 40 this year, my reflexes are not as good as the were a few years back. It really sucks to see those limitations. I mean its not THAT bad, but i see SOME differences between myself and my 8 year old son that i introduced to the game. Dude is hooked as much as i am 😅 anyways. Great addictive game, cant wait for season 2. Hope the game explodes, it is worth the attention. And remember, communication with your teammates is a key to success! 🤘🏻

I have 300 hours and am only silver but can compete against plat/diamond players when I come across them. I simply don't play ranked in its current state and find messing around in quick play more fun.
I do practice in regular tournaments tho so i am ready for when ranked gets fixed and am prepared to jump in with the meta as soon as there is a reason to do so
I'm gonna be honest. This is the most sensible comment i've seen so far I think. Playing rank without breaking your keyboard in half takes a whole lot of patience right now with all the mentioned issues. Preparing yourself for season 2 is probably the smartest thing to do. I've spent 350 hours of soloQ this season and it has definitely been a hell of a ride haha What are you gonna play(build?) for season 2??
If I'm playing competitively, probably heavy and I like the M60 and goo gun cuz I can make them work. But it really depends on the season 2 patch notes.

Hard Stuck Gold 1, I play with randoms all day. I get cued with lights all the time. I've only met about 2 that I deemed worthy to play ranked with.
I would say that this is a big challenge of the gold rank. Players become more …. “Serious” above gold and this avoid such composition mistakes that can make life difficult. But rest assured - there’s no rank based matchmaking at the moment so it doesn’t really matter which rank you are in. I ended up with 2 light builds playing sword and throwing knives yesterday! My advice ? Crunch through it . You’ll get through I know it ! If you had the patience to come and comment about your experience all the way here, it’s that you are putting energy into the finals. That’s the energy that will get you up the ladder 🔥🔥
@@Kapp-10 one of the lights was a crazy knife player but final round we flopped, non the less I d enjoy the game and play it everyday. Destruction is my favorite feature

i hate getting lights on my team, they usually go off on their own to get kills and end up dying 70 meters away from the team
@@Eli-gr3py not gonna lie… I have a similar impression 😂 but to their defence, the way light build is built kinda pushes them to play that way so they don’t really have a choice 😕😕 my last video discusses changed we hope for the future and that’s one of the points I’m making - I hope light builds get a rework because it just has no synergy with the other builds at that point

@@Sh1do_0 my advice after 300 hours of playing doctor is that you need to find the right balance between when you are healing and when you are shooting . If you heal too much in soloQ , you are relying on others to do damage which can be unreliable

Plat 1 here , up to plat 3 ppl are going for kills instead objectives... might just be for me, but objective awareness up to plat 3 was on -100 for teammates i had...

@@Kapp-10 i play solo M turret + double mines and smoke granade avoide vaults go for cashouts... you need a bit more skill to take down enemy team but with good planing you can kite their whole team into your mines and wipe them out then go for cashout...
@@abrexisnox7042 I dont know ... I feel like turrets aren't strong enough right now. A single clip takes care of it and you only need a pixel of the turret to take it out - meaning its even hard for the turret to start shooting. Mines are insane tho ill give you that 🤔
As long as they are emptying clip on my turret i get chance to empty my clip on them.... its more of distraction and annoyance then actully worth of killing with it...
I’m platinum 2 off solo queue and I can honestly say the ranked in this game is super inconsistent and the rating system is absolutley terrible

@Kapp-10 diamond since betas, going into ranked I won all placement games and placed g1, even after getting up to diamond, I regularly had actual gold players in my lobbies. Moderately high level ranked (plat+) feels like casual but sometimes you get a top 500 stack in your lobby

@@Kapp-10 well, bad teammates is one reason. Other one being cheaters. It's a great game but they need to get better at matchmaking, in a few games I'm playing with diamonds and in few I'm playing with unranked. As I played a lot, playing with diamonds is not that big of a problem, however playing with lower ranks is very difficult as they still are discovering the game. P.s. I made g2 today, have been making progress steadily, however, plat is so far away 🫱
@@Kapp-10 I just keep getting shittu teammates bro. I somehow went up to gold 2, but again got kicked back down to g3. Every time it's either someone afk, someone picks light sword who think they'll solo the opponent team. While the enemy has 2 heavy and a medium with shotgun and nukes ready. Like the game isn't even fun anymore with nukes, it's just stupid.
The ranked game mode is flat out bad. There is a reason casual tourney was the lowest player base. Its an unskilled time sink with more emphasis on time and spawn manipulation rather than gun skill and team play. If this game wants a competitive game mode, ranked quick cash is much more simple and predictable.
I’m not sure I agree with you ! 🙇♂️ there are obvious issues that do need to be fixed if embark wants to push this game to higher competitive levels but I love the rank mode ! I would say (in my opinion) that it is the best mode by far currently . The reason that the unranked tournament was removed is exactly because of that. People would much rather go for the ranked option of the same mode . On top of that - quick cash is very similar to the ranked tournament in terms of what the gameplay is. The only difference is that the ranked tournament has levels for a single tournament while quick cash ends after round 1. Some would complain about the length of a tournament but the game itself is very close to quick cash . Do you actually play ranked mode at all?🤔 in any case , thank you very much for sharing your opinion. It is with such feedback that the game will keep growing🙇♂️🙇♂️🥇
@@Kapp-10 I think you mean to reference cashout. Quick cash is 3v3v3 with only 1 cash out. My main issue with ranked tournament is 2 cashouts, there is no reason other than randomness, chaos and to fit their tournament format. While I like the idea of an in game tournament, making it the ranked mode does exactly as I stated, catering an unskilled timesink that rewards spawn and time manipulation Over team play and gun skill. Yes I do play ranked, not as much this season as I felt this same way at the end of season 1. My belief in this post is to try and push a skill based ranked mode within the intended mechanics, not cheese strats.

I wouldn’t necessarily push aim trainers for the finals too much . It will of course help tracking, reflexes and targeting but the finals is too dynamic AND too vertical . You need to learn to prioritise actions.

as higher of a rank you get, the more you find people that cheat. Played now 3 games in a row and in all 3 were cheater

All what u have said would be true if the matchmaking is ranked based
But for now u cant say that, i am a diamond player and i play with my diamond team i would say 20% of the time i face a good diamond team
The rest 80% no competition at all thats why we win 4 to 5 finals easy everyday and we play just 5 hours a day
If season 2 make the matchmaking ranked based so u would face diamonds as a diamond player now we can say diamond players has mastered the game
To give u an example when my team and i were silver and gold we faced top 3 on eu now wooz tv and his team all top 500, we won against them in the finals but its not fair for new player to face top players
As I said to another diamond player’s comment , keep in mind that diamond feels normal to you because you are diamond.
While I absolutely agree with you that the matchmaking being unranked is true and does make the argumentation complicated , we can still and should still have a baseline for the mentality of players within each rank ☺️! The game is growing and I believe in embark to hear our complaints and modify that (hopefully for s2!) .
But I do agree with you tho. As it stands the word “rank” is very high level in the finals .

Damn... matchmaking does me dirty these days. I've started playing ranked turnaments after 150h done it couple of times, which was pretty easy compared what I'm facing right now! Decided to come back around time when was 28 days until end of the season and I'm being paired with virgins (4-2 bronze), myself being Gold 4 yet even if I get (hardly ever) gold player he lacks of basics... not sure if hours have anything to do with it but ending up 8/10 with bronze is just ass....
I don’t know if you were on the stream I did today that just ended 20 minutes ago … we talked about this quite a bit . I really hope this is in the books for season 2 because it’s quite frustrating … and it’s frustrating for everyone. The high rank because you can’t win a game with a team that is basically not playing the same game , but also for the low ranks whom are gonna spend 10 minutes getting their 🍑 wiped . Worst thing is that they had a patch a month ago that was supposed to have changed that …
So no worries it’s not just you . We’re all suffering from it . From what I’ve seen embark’s dev team is quite reactive to feedback so I really hope/believe they will change that for s2
No, wasn't watching, just talking from my own expirience. I'm grinding for Diamond and if I wont get to diamond there will be no season 2 for me I guess :/ Someone might tell that I'm too dramatic but these on my rank players can't calculate what's right to do in the moment, that enemy is coming and we don't have time to revive eachother without difib, they throwing flame nade into my gas... mistake on top of mistakes! I'm assuming that when im with Bronze-Gold others must be team be Gold+ or something. I had few friends to play who are in Plat-Diamond game from my perspective looks the same without my teammates dying upon 1st and every encounter yet these type of players want to ALWAYS WIN (1st place) while i'm happy scoring any points

I think this video would be informative if rank wasn’t completely redundant. I have had plats that are running heavy grenade launchers alongside lights with snipers or swords without the skill to translate into them. You want to know how to get into diamond? Just play and put in the hours. The way it’s designed right now makes it almost impossible for you not to progress, albeit slowly.

This seems easy to you because you are at that level 😊😌 you have to take in consideration every level and player profiles. Just read through the comments and you’ll quickly see that some are stuck at every levels for different reasons ☺️where I can agree with you is that the ranked matchmaking isn’t rank based so it’s hard to find consistency.
@@Kapp-10 I never said it was easy. It was an extremely frustrating experience, but I’m a sucker for that type of thing. Communicating definitely helps but overall I didn’t really change my play style and I just kept playing. Every game being a gamble of if I was going to get competent teammates. Eventually the wins outweighed the losses.

My best weapons are grenades lol
Since the finals is my first ever shooter and I play it since 2nd February, my aim is not so good
Therefore I never got motivated to play alotta ranked.

The issue is : playing in gold with unranked and bronze players in your team - and people who leave ( without any form of bonus point for this ) 💀💀💀🤡
Don’t worry my man I’ve had the same in diamond - unranked + bronze.
All I can tell you is that this is just as much a pain for you as it is for the lower ranked players… they are not ready to face off with strong players and getting killed every 3 seconds is just not a good experience… I’m not excusing leavers - I never will, but I can see where the frustration comes from… cross your fingers with me hoping embark will manage this for season 2 ❤️🩹❤️🩹

That’s because you’re sitting on that side of the barrier my man ! Your mentality sets diamond standards to normal because that’s your normal but you need to consider everyone’s POV. The way you process the game is very different than the way a bronze or silver does ! Can you agree on that ? 😬

bronze, I don't play ranked, I get screamed at for using my main, and I'm not interested in getting beamed from the other side of Las Vegas with an Fcar. ranked is bullshit in this game. succumb to the meta, or fuck off with your "skill issues" is all it is.
It is a hard game and people tend to be sensitive to other player’s performance i can agree to that… good news though ! They nerfed the fcar at high distance it’s basically useless now 😌 that being said , you don’t need to do rank if that’s not where you have fun!

@@Kapp-10 problem is i live in India which is the largest English speaking country(not native English speakers though) and India is a country from Asia, if i keep region in auto, it still will get Chinese people, because the nearest servers are the Asian servers.
@@sharpshooter2704 have you tried going for American servers maybe ? 🤔 that is a complex case though I can admit to that. So every time you play a game online you end up on Asian servers ??
@@Kapp-10 in any game , i get the worst possible ping in usa servers, because i live in the completely other side of the earth, the nearest servers for me are asia,(As i told you, i live in india, which is also a asian nation) and in europian servers, games are a little bit playable but not all the time.

It's going to work only if ranks was not broken. What we have now is impossible to work around, plus we can't see ranks at the start, only at the end. Better just making a team on discord servers and at least have communication all the time instead of playing with ransoms in game
I mean you really make a fair point. It’s hardly "competitive" if you aren’t playing with/against people your level. That being said I do feel like this is mostly a soloQ issue. I’ve felt like the lobbies were much more aligned with the level I sign up with in my premade groups when I start with premades.
@@Kapp-10 its not soloQ problem, even duo can get you any rank player in your/enemy team. Just by checking leaderboards on website you can get info if people are in diamond or in lower ranks. I wish website show people below 10k so i don't need to add random people to ask for their rank, or check their stream. The average match is at least 1 diamond team and other teams are combinations of other ranks
Ranked system is shit, and its intended by davs and this frustrating. I want to have diamond and play against diamonds, not going from bronze to play against top 10 -1000 players
I can agree on the matchmaking problems which are VERY frustrating … I talked a lot about that on my stream yesterday . And they said they had patched it a month ago …
It’s not normal that silvers or even unranked are put in diamond lobbies … it’s both a pain for the diamond in the team and the lower ranked players who are just not ready for that level… I really hope they address this for season 2
