The epitome of a drummer, the backbone of the music, he has the maturity to realise showing off your chops in a song for the sake of it is boring and immature, he approaches a song with the attitude of “what does the song need” rather than “how can I show off” and annoyingly he’s a
Lovely bloke. He has chops in spades but when you’re that accomplished, there’s no need to show off constantly. That “non fill” in this song is absolute genius. I’ve had the pleasure of mixing him and he’s astounding.
