It’s likely due to their personalities. Toppo is far more interactive and cooperative with their teammates, as opposed to Jiren pretty much always keeping to himself.

You need to know that almost everyone in the tournament at this point is considered universal in power so the energy they could supply to goku would be more than goku could get from some weak humans and the Z fighters at that point in time. My own issue with this is the fact that both android 17 and 18 have an infinite amount of energy so couldn't it just be them two that gave goku all the energy he needed. Typical Dragon ball super inconsistencies
Highly incorrect. ⅓ of the Z fighters weren't even Universal scale, as well as some of the other contestants. Piccolo, Master Roshi, Tien, and Krillin outsted some easily. There were only a few high-ballers, but most were not universal scale.
Eg: Frieza, Toppo, Jiren, Vegeta, Goku - above universal.
Krillin, Master Roshi, Tien, half of the Pride Troopers - planetary at least.

24:53 Not trying to be a smartass or anything, but in Dragon Ball when a character is significantly stronger than another person said character's hax and abilities instantly get overpowered and negated due to the massive gap in strength. Almost every high tier in trouble ball has that, passive ability that isn't that commonly known by casual DB fans.
