It was hard for me too but when I eliminated all other options this was the only option that I was left with. Also, in the subsection before this one if you play around a bit you will realize that the bob thing returns to its original position when it gets destroyed which might serve as a hint too!

Yes it is somewhat difficult but at the same time pulling it off is immensely satisfying!
