So recently I bought a 2011 GMC train, and when I went to pick it up, it was in parts and pieces…. Literally, the engine started up, but there were no wheels on it. Everything on the inside from the back of the front seats was totally disassembled. Rear suspension was completely disassembled…. The shocks were missing the keys were missing the windshield wiper transmission was completely missing along with the windshield wiper arms….. and on top of that the guy that did all of this drilled not one but two holes in the gas tank….. plus he took $900 from the unsuspecting customer…. Well this is why you don’t pay some guy off of Facebook to work on your car especially when he doesn’t know what the hell he’s doing everything he disassembled to fix the rear Trailing Arm rusted out issue was completely unnecessary……
But if you’ve had somebody steal your gas out of your car because they drilled a hole in your gas tank this is definitely the video for you. I show you a quick simple trick on fixing it that is extremely cheap and easy for even the dumbest of knuckle draggers. ….. sorry for dragging it out but it’s not fun just making repair videos. It’s fun to make jokes and make people laugh along with helping them fix their cars…… I hope you enjoy it and I’m gonna put some other stuff down here in the description and I’m also going to put a video up where I talk about the guy who did this cause he’s a real piece of crap…

You can also use Rubber well nuts with a bolt and flat washer (or fender washer) to match. Coat it all with with Permatex Permaseal Gasket dressing which is fuel resistant). Same idea as yours but without the little lever that can work loose, and a sealant to keep seeping at bay and sealant to extend the life of the rubber.

Actually, that’s a drain to nowhere in the country. We have things like that but yes, that was intentional.
The holes were real … the repair was real …. But the names might’ve been changed to protect the innocent…. You have to really be old to understand that reference.

Your video help but doesn’t
I used a neoropreme cork, hammered in tight, and j-b two part epoxy on atop, with mesh, and more epoxy. A year later, they just took my drain plug out. $7.99 at the dealer. I told the dealer I would epoxy the plug, he said, ok you’re gonna get another hole.😜

Why would I put the link in there? If it wasn’t gonna work isn’t your fuel lines made of rubber isn’t your fuel or neck made of rubber?
They don’t make gas tank plugs …. I’m just saying.
Great video, I’m in the same predicament, what epoxy did you use for the gas tank and I’m assuming you are working on a splastic gas tank?

Yes, most definitely working on a plastic one
And you can just use any plastic epoxy there’s actually packages with all different types if it says works for plastic and gas, you’re good to go.
Off the top of my head I don’t remember though sorry to say probably just some JB weld or anything of that nature. They also have two part epoxy tubes that are designed specifically for plastic. I’ll put some stuff in the goods section of the video.
There are so many different things that you can use for that. Sorry I just can’t remember exactly what I used, but there were so many different options. It’s not hard to find.

The rubber doesn't melt with the gasoline
Yeah, you gotta be careful about what you say. I know rubber doesn’t melt, but.. there are some forms of rubber that would distort. I don’t think these will though.
