I have been to Singapore and the laws are crazy my mom told me that Singapore maybe a small country it is also the strictest country and people and one of the hardest accents to memorize.

It was never illegal to chew gum in singapore, it was the sale which by the way, was lifted in 2004 where pharmacies sell gum now. Why the world thinks it is illegal is because of a smear campaign by the US to force/shame singapore when singapore stopped imports.
Being someone who lives in Singapore, I can tell you that you wouldn't even get into trouble for breaking those laws.
