And I feel so bad for him that he landed on a team coached by a wife beater assistant hiring, racist assistant hiring P.O.S. who would rather leave his team behind to bump and grind on some teeny waitress at a sleezy bar than travel back with his team.
I hope Trevor can put this year behind him and not let it rock his confidence for years to come. To have the immense level of hype thrown onto him then get thrown into this dumpster fire of a coaching situation, anyone would struggle. I don't know if the kids the next Peyton Manning or not, but I think with some actual coaching, he can be much better than what he's shown this year
Maybe Meyer could get away with treating student athletes like dirt (because most would be afraid of losing their scholarship and chance at NFL) but Jaguars players are paid professionals and colleagues earning big money just like the coach. Meyer is obviously NOT an NFL level coach.
The problem is not Urban Mayer (despite the dance) it is the policy of the NFL: They take an excellent player in college and send him without the right to protest to a lousy team, several years to destroy him. Look at the Stafford case with the Lions and how it goes now with the Rams.

The best fit for the Jags would be Doug Pederson. He's a QBs coach. He's a down to earth locker room kind of guy. After the way the Jags treated his SB MVP QB, I'm not sure he would come.

All the high school prospect know by now, who Urban Meyers is and will sign on to play with him because of is new found fame! Great Collegiate commentator opportunities too.

A 10 million dollar a year head coach isn't one you hire, it's one you already have that you give that high dollar figure to. Jacksonville went high risk on this and busted. Khan's scary smart and will do better next time.

Biggest mistake of the century. Jags will regret this. Urban is a winner period. If the team didn't buy in that's on them. You can't have a coaching carousel year after year and expect to change, everyone knew jags weren't gonna be good this year. In fact, they actually improved from last year.
