- A very rare collection of photos of the Holy City of Makkah dating back over 100 years ago. Accompanied also by a very rare and possibly the earliest recitation of Qur'an we will ever hear.
Christiaan Snouck Hurgronje visited Makkah in 1885/1302H taking photos and making sound recordings (Surah Duha is being recited) using Thomas Edison's newly-invented wax cylinders.

One more evidence for the diselievers that the Quran has never been changed, not even a single letter.
There are letter changes from the Hafs and Warsh Quran. However, the Quran was revealed in seven different Qiraat. Warsh is used mostly in North Africa. Most of the Muslim World uses Hafs Quran though. The letter changes do sometimes make varying words however they complement each other.

I was struggling with praying, and today I decided to pray and stay strong. After I prayed I got this notification. I cried so much hearing his voice. Someone of 1885. It's so beautiful. Wallah I can't stop crying after I heared it

Unbelievable. This was recited by a man who lived 200 years ago! At the time when there were still empires in the world. And yet it sounds like the same exact words that we still recite today. It brings me great joy to think that we are hearing the Quran being recited two HUNDRED years ago, and how Allah has given us this amazing artifact. Thank you for uploading

This was possibly the first recitation recorded by the person using the worldly technology of that time. And the first recitation recorded is the surah in which it states that the worldly belongings and technology are of no use and that the afterlife is better than this world. Subhanallah

Even your most sincere repentance and good deeds,
though necessary, cannot simply be rewarded with mercy because
they are tainted with a multitude of sinful self-motivations.
Perfect Justice demands punishment for all sin.
Mercy without punishment for sin is INJUSTICE.

Only the Holy, Just and Pure Almighty Creator Himself
could provide the payment-in-full that satisfies BOTH-
His perfectly Just and Holy nature,
with your need for mercy.
Only Jesus, sharing fully in the attributes, nature and substance of the Almighty,
provided by His sufferings alone the only payment-in-full for all your sins
that the Almighty can accept, and
fully satisfied the justice of the Almighty in the punishment of sin
providing all the mercy you need.
Repent of trusting in the teachings of Islam-
you can never do enough good deeds to get mercy for even one sin.
Begin trusting that Jesus obediently,
and to prove His great love for you,
willingly took the punishment your sins deserved on His cross,
making the only payment for your sins ***perfect enough***
the Almighty Father in Heaven CAN accept.

This has made me emotional and nostalgic, because I actually grew up in 2000s in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
And I was reminded of the quiet, beautiful atmosphere whenever the Azaan sounded.

this is beautiful, subhanallah. Just the mere fact that Islam existed hundreds of years ago, and in fact for 1400 years, that Islam was a lifestyle and religion for so many for centuries, and knowing it still remains in many hearts today... it's just amazing.

The original comment was talking about the man who was recited, this man was just there with the equipment for picture and recording, it would have been a local, imam or someone at the mosque that would have done the recitation. I know this surah was brought down to the prophet pbuh when he didn't receive jibreel for a long time
But all the verses literally speak to me it's like all the verses of this surah describe my life perfectly and it made me cry
