Jim and Dwight are basically the real world’s version of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. It’s like on their own they’re great characters but when they’re put together for the whole episode it’s soooo good. They work off each other so well.

Grocery store bakeries usually have a few plain cakes like this on display so a person can buy one last minute. At most store bakeries the workers will write something on the cake right there and then for a fee.
Pretty sure the Baker said what kind of cake did they want and Dwight went with 'specifically nothing'.

I love the fact that after all that ordeal of getting Kelly a birthday party, they just sat on the waiting room chairs eating cake, not going at each other's throats, no glaring or childish taunts and attitudes. They just sit there, eating cake, basking in the success of the party and Dwight just turns to Jim and compliments the cake he picked out and receive a thanks in return. Simple gestures, but it speaks volumes about the two.
