In this video, we are going to be going for the Star Wars Bounty Hunter Platinum Trophy. The Platinum Trophy can be challenging due to the Non Lethal Force trophy which requires you to Capture Every Bounty

I was 10 year's old when this game came out back in 2002, I was a pro & 100% this game on PS2, but now I'm 32 and this game has gotten remastered I don't know if can do that again! 😳

as a kid who grew up wanting to be a mandalorian bounty hunter and playing this game religiously in the early 2000s, i can tell you all the incredibly infuriating glitches, bounties running off cliffs and everything negative this game has that you mentioned was there 20+ years ago. it sucks they couldnt fix the horrendous bugs. having said that i will always love this game, flaws and all. no game takes me back to my childhood more than this one.
I can see why this game would be so beloved, If I was just playing through it without all the bounties it would have been awesome
Honestly the flaws and jankyness is part of the charm. It's this weird thing really, it's nearly impossible to replicate purposefully. It has to happen naturally without intention.
Going for this myself and Non Lethal is such a pain in the ass just really drags down the pacing of an otherwise fun combat loop

Yeh having to switch to the scanner to find them as your getting shot at ect is just annoying. I wish they made the scanner a separate button press and you could still use your gun as you scan.

I ended up getting all the secondary bounties TWICE for the achievement
First time I didn’t know you had to capture them all ALIVE
I killed some when I claimed them and some were alive. I had no way of knowing which were captured alive or not so I had to go back and redo all of them lmao
I had to redo the first 3 cdhapters again, I had the exact same problem, the description didn't say alive so I didn't think you needed too, the lack of tracking is a pain aswell.. Well done anyway on the achievement well earned.

How does this compare to the original PS4 version without the platinum? I got that a few years ago
@@joshuaglasser4021 this one felt easier. They changed it so your scanner puts the game into slow mo which really helps when looking for bounties.
This is the way. Played this game over and over as a kid, but never bothered with all of the bounties. This is a real challenge now.
A challenge also because of things out of your control which is the annoying part

Congrats on this platinum man! I did the PS2 emulated version and got 100% with that, but there's no platinum. Just your standard bronze/silver/gold...let's just say I have no plans on going back to the remastered version to do the non-lethal takedown, especially since it seems less polished and the AI is just as dumb 🤣
Edit: Some of the glitches you experience near the end are only in the remaster too, furthering my point about it not being as polished.
Absolutely no way I can see myself doing the PS2 version either 😂 But yeah it did seem to have issues that weren’t there in the original, frustrating..
I rather not platinum this game i’d be checking into a psych ward the next day

6 attempts on the canyon last guy bounty. Still havent gotten him. Came close. Tied him up and immediately his buddy behind us blew both of us off the map with his rocket...

I got the platinum today on xbox. I have no idea how people have issue with the AI. I never ran into an un-capturable bounty except for one on the third level of chapter 1. The only game over i got was on longo two guns because the grenade pricks glitched and started spamming grenades (about 4 grenades a second) but i still dont see how people had issues with the bounty capturing part. Im glad you did it though!
Huge tip: with ANY boss, use the minigun. They're available for vosa's battle and almost all montross fights
To be honest its the reasons I showed in the video. Maybe it was just a different experience but I stand by it, the poor AI made this a real frustrating game. Well done on the 100% though man its a nice one to get. Did you play this game before?
@@JohnCalum thank you! And indeed actually. I've played it for over 10 years. When I was a kid, I had it on the PS2 and I couldn't beat the upper city level because I couldn't beat the big police ship.
Then I got the ps4 remaster in 2016 or 17 idfk and didn't get much further, I got steamrolled in the Prison levels.
And then finally I waited the whole of July to 100% the game on Xbox, and now I'm trying to do the whole thing again on pc. I actually plan to make a video series on it! :D
My only complaint is the camera.. it’s my biggest enemy, but I found just aiming instead of relying on the auto aim
It can be really dodgy in some parts I agree.
The bounties aren't as hard as you think, I only had to restart missions roughly 5 times to complete. The hardest trophy is "no civilian caussualties" pretty much going through the mission Longo two guns get 150 kills without killing any npc that's not an enemy. It's way too easy to accidentally kill a civilian. Especially when the aiming feature won't let you aim how you'd like specifically. The auto target option isn't what I'm referring to

Childs play. Did all this way back on PS2 with the wonky controls (yes I'm 37 year old Ancient man 😅). The modern control scheme is easier.

After getting 100% trophies in the original version on the psplus classic collection, this is a game I will never come back to in terms of trophy collecting simply because of the horrible bounties. I get you’re supposed to be the most fearsome bounty hunter at the time, but this was just too much. The bounty at 15:51 was easily the worst one of them all and I ended up having to redo this long ass mission several times just for a small chance of trying to capture him again. The bounty at 10:36 also caused a lot of headache and failed runs when I tried to get him. I found killing every enemy around him from afar with saber darts then saving him for last helped with him not dying to a rogue rocket. I will say as well, as much as I find the AI of the game atrocious, the bounties that died at 13:30 and 13:40 were mostly your fault. You flew too close to them too fast, and the second guy even bounced off of you due to collision. It almost looked like Jango kicked him off the ledge lol.

The cheat codes disable trophies, and they don't really help much.
Got my platinum yesterday. I think I had the same feeling as you; elation born out of frustration with the A.I.. Learning the enemy patterns only helped so much, because as you say, sometimes they just wander off and get stuck or fall to their deaths.
Interestingly, our experiences do vary. For example, in Gardulla's Palace, the four bounties gathered together in the market street kept dying on me before I could get to them due to enemy fire. It took me so many painful restarts.
Couple of points; For the dug stuck in the hut during jungle trek, there is a hole in the top of the hut with which you can get inside the building. Therefore you don't have to wait for him to come out.
Second, occasionally some bounties may not spawn. For example, during Longo Two-Guns, Deadeye Klintee did not appear in an alleyway for me, despite several restarts. I ended up rebuilding my database on the PS5 (which I have done before for other games with glitches) and it seemed to solve this.

I can confirm the not spawning bug, I'm currently replaying the campaign to get the last achievement and on the 3rd level on chapter 3 the second bounty didn't spawn for me until I restarted the level two times.
The guide I was watching did also mention Gardullas palace but I must have just got lucky with that first try!
Damn I wish I knew that about the Dug, I didn't see that online and the text guide didn't mention it! What an idiot haha.
Deadeye Klintee also didn't appear occasionally but I put that down to me maybe accidentally killing him, but if that's a common experience that's annoying..

I still remember playing this on ps2 at age 17. Like so many ps2 rentals, I'm sure i got half way through before I returned it and never bothered to get it later to finish it 😂

I just finished my last level of collecting bounties and my achievement didn’t pop, turns out I have 149/150 claimed alive so i must have claimed a dead in between and I have no way of knowing what bounty it was ffs. Fuck this game I’m not replaying each level again

Hey for those bounties in the small houses in the jungle chapter you can enter it from the chimney on top like a deadly Santa clause! Took me a while to figure that out back on the PS2 version.

I unlock all the achievements on Xbox for Star Wars bounty hunter instead of a legend is born achievements is not unlocking for me I think it’s bugged or something but I unlock the other achievements easily the only one that took a little longer was the bounty captures was a pain but I got it unlock I don’t know what to do any suggestions??

The PS4 version has some, its really annoying.
Just picked this up the other day (I had the OG PS2 version as a kid and loved it, but never finished it) and was planning on going for all the bounties, as I'm a bit of a completionist.
This video convinced me otherwise. I could already tell playing the first couple of levels that going for all bounties was gonna be a pain in the ass, but watching this video... oooooof.
So, gonna play it casually. I'll check for bounties and collect them, but if I don't get them all, that's fine. This is the way.

It seems like hunting for trophies/achievements really take all the fun out of playing a game.
It depends, for this it really did. For Alien Isolation it was awesome.
@@JohnCalum yeah but u can always save your completionist run for your second playthrough with the boba fett skin. Like a hard mode essentially. Different strokes for different folks, imo this game is waayy too easy with the auto aim and health packs. The bounty system makes you a bit more hesistant and methdical rather than shooting up the place. Its like the ghostbuster game trophy that requires you to get less than 500,00 property damage in a playthrough. Some ppl love that shit

Re: approximately 8 minute mark, the Dug bounty inside the Malastare hut. You do realize that he's accessible through the roof right? There's a hole above it.
It was such an accomplishment for me to get the platinum trophy for the PS4 version. But now they go and remastered it and made a trophy more difficult than before.
That one was not accidentally killing any non enemies on the 1st Tatooine level. I had to give up on that one😢. On PS4 you could get it because you weren't restricted to earning to 1 level.
I actually didn't I was following a text guide at this point and it only said he would have left the hut, that would have saved me alot of hassle..
That tatooine trophy took me so long.. thats the thing when I was doing it all the guides pointed to the level it was easier on. I'm sure you'll get it someday bro
@@JohnCalum I actually just got it a few minutes ago :) lol I went through once and then in the shootout with Longo and his goons I must have accidentally hit a droid because after it said 1 non combatant kill. So I loaded it up again and got it. Damn, it felt more like luck.

I remember playing this on the Gamecube and had the same feeling of enjoyment at being able to play as a bounty hunter. Playing it casually the game does hold up pretty well but it's only after you go for the trophies that the game shows it's age and was really a product of it's time with annoying platform sequences and ai. For some reason I gave up on it as I reached the last level. I definitely will purchase this at some point. This is the way.

The level where you are trying to breakout the prison was one of the most painful experiences 😢
Especially that guy on the bridge because he always fell off. The one time I did get him, I got fucking blown up by some random dude across the bridge. Had to restart because all my lives were gone. This happened to me 4 times in a row. I spent 3 hours on that single level 🤬. Hopefully it’ll all be worth it in the end 🙏
Honestly I think I spent about the same time, nightmare mate...
I did 40 resets on the Death Stick factory level because one of the bounties (usually one of the last three) would jump off a platform. I feel your pain!
