Just an update on the project - I've decided to put this version on the shelf for now, I came across a few issues with my design - maybe I'll come back to it in the future with a complete redesign, but so far I haven't done much work on it. Apologies for the poor progress!
You are not in over your head. You have encountered the typical slope involved in engineering any custom design, no matter how similar to others yours may be. Eventually, you’ll look back and wonder why some challenges seemed so difficult, but will always run into new ones.
Holly fuck, sooo underrated channel. Nowadays valuable people arent in mainstream anymore... thanks for the video keep grinding, you will have a great portfolio for job interviews. When do you write scenario for the video?
Will you feature the arm you build on UA-cam or somewhere? "Works in progress" are incredible learning experiences, and not just for the builder. We love things like that, and are happy to help if you run into problems.
This is awesome! I have thought it would be cool to make something like this but never started as I knew I would be way in over my head. The design work is impressive and I look forward to seeing it walk!
Nice 'little' project you've got there Mr Adam.. I'm looking forward to your progression and in particular, how you are planning to drive this baby, manual or (some level of) autonomic(y)? This dude Zenichowski in the Grabcad community seems to have spit out a thing or two and made his project work. Anyway, I like the way you modeled your baby and hope you'll fit it with IR, Ultrasonic, cam or Lidar and what not and hope to learn a thing or two from your efforts. Keep it up smooth brain!
are there extra servos except the 2 on legs? i want to understand how the hip servo rolling. Is there one more servo in the body attached to hip servo?
Super nice! Keep it up, looking forward to see how it will end up. I also wonder does it have additional servos inside the body? You haven't mentioned it but it looks like it's also jiggling from side to side
Aha,.. the thought that we're supposed to have before beginning a project, but which doesn't appear until after many hours of suffering and misery: "... I might be in over my head..." 😄 Anyway, this is well off into the future for me, a bucket list item. Very interesting vid by the way.
Still planning on using it, I’m going to try it in the next one when I start testing walking, it was just easier to set up inverse kinematics with a solid link
I'm curious, why no toes? No feet like bases with flexing toes and paw pads? Would that not help it balance like an animal? I've seen tons of these but no realistic like feet. Just can't figure out why? And how would it look if these were made to carry people like horses, could that be possible?
Hi. I am mechanical engineering student I love designing but i didnt have any skill in programming Would you like to recommend me any website/course to program robot from basic? I really hope that the course is focus on project based not a general mathematical equation Do I have to use arduino or something? Thank you so much
If you use Arduino, I'd suggest just looking up tutorials on UA-cam. They'll cover pretty much all the same stuff as any tutorial, and it's free. Arduinos are really simple, so once you get the hang of the terminology, you'll be fine.
i've only just ordered my 3d printer and it hasn't arrived yet, so maybe this is a stupid question, but... can you combine multiple smaller prints into a single file and print them at the same time?
Hey i am in the middle of designing my own, can i get the code for your inverse kinematics, i wanna take a look at it, mine will have series compliany actuators
Hello there!!! I am too working on a similar project for my final year in clg!! Could you please share me the CAD files so that i can print myself!! Thanks in advance!! Have a nice day!!!
Bro you need more amps if you are using mg996R each servo required atleast 5-6v and 2A each in order to get the max torque, and also reduce the angle you put on legs. We are also creating a quadruped robot on our final year project hope it works on you.
and? Im impressed by your "little" project" here. Im trying to make the same thing with a straight up 2 leg robot... and I got to say that I hate legs on robots. hope Ill learn more about this on your YT. the sub is there my guy
hello, the video at the end where the robot dances and wags its back, look carefully and you will see that this dancing robot is dancing without a battery 🤔 this video from TV is fake computer graphics, this video is 12 years old, the company then led everyone by the nose with this dancing robot
Im not sure if this is supposed to be a troll but u can clearly see the battery in the video? Its the light green pack in the middle section, the same he showed earlier when weighing the robot
Dude, you have 50+ hours of functional printing, something that will work. the people you showed as an example with the suits have 0 hours of functional printing, because all they do is just dangling showy plastic.

Bro. Can I contact you??😊
I’m too stupid to understand what you’re talking about but I’m still entertained. Great video!! 👍🏼
Don’t worry I don’t understand it either
You def deserve more subs, these videos are a lot of fun, I do wish they were longer but I think this format works well.
You are not in over your head. You have encountered the typical slope involved in engineering any custom design, no matter how similar to others yours may be. Eventually, you’ll look back and wonder why some challenges seemed so difficult, but will always run into new ones.
Good comment and very true.
I worked on a quadruped robot dog for my final college project. It’s fairly hard work but you’ve done a great job, especially solo
Is it possible to see your project ?
@@Slush3i sadly the school kept the dog when we graduated. But I should have some videos still posted on my shorts tab and tiktok feed

Every one starting something new begins over their head. Keep at it and you'll figure it out. This is a super neat project i want to build a arm.
Will you feature the arm you build on UA-cam or somewhere? "Works in progress" are incredible learning experiences, and not just for the builder. We love things like that, and are happy to help if you run into problems.
I Love how you keep your videos nice and short and yet still very informative. Best of luck on this project.
Thanks!
@@adambeedle how much it cost in making if i dont use a 3d printing machine

Amazing video, that is such a clean design 🔥
Thanks!
Bro, you got this... I'm still stuck on how to use a digital caliper.
What plastic are you using for the 3d printed components? Regular PLA or something different? What a groovy little robot!
Thanks! Just regular pla so I’ll try not to leave it out in the sun
Patiently waiting for the next video,
Keep it up...
is clear you put a lot of your effort in your videos, wow
Still here before you massively explode in popularity.
2:32 put on 2x speed... :)))
are there extra servos except the 2 on legs?
i want to understand how the hip servo rolling. Is there one more servo in the body attached to hip servo?
Yeah there is, it gives the leg 3 degrees of freedom
This deserves way more views!
What happened to you mate ??
How you have so little subscribers? It's so good!!!
That’s an awesome amount of progress!
Super nice! Keep it up, looking forward to see how it will end up.
I also wonder does it have additional servos inside the body? You haven't mentioned it but it looks like it's also jiggling from side to side
Thanks! And yeah, it’s got 3 servos for each leg, the one that controls side to side motion is the hip servo

It's just cool that it works ;)
Nice project :)
Great job
Cool videos, you have a talent. When will be continue???
Sir can you please provide the designs for the 3 d parts...we are also trying our hands at robotics but could not get a man good at cad so please?
Great work! I need CAD design of this and try it out. Thanks in advanced.
Great job!!! Always wanted to build one, but as far as I know servos are not to reliable.
Super nice job 👌💪did you gonna make it open source?
Thanks! Might do in the future but right now my codes far too bodged for that
I really wanna make one of theese
It seems you have ditched the compliant leg mechanism from the previous video - does this mean it doesn't work/ isn't worth the extra effort?
Still planning on using it, I’m going to try it in the next one when I start testing walking, it was just easier to set up inverse kinematics with a solid link
We want to see it walk! This was awesome
Did you just use nuts and bolts to hold each part of the leg together or were you using bearings?
Just nuts and bolts, although bearings would have been better
