Which means all taxi like dzire, verna, etc all are turbo engines so I don't agree that turbo engines are not reliable. 2) turbo engines are the norm due to global emissions.. Most turbo engines are 3 cylinder engines compared to conventional 4 cylinder engines which leads to reduced fuel usage. Unless you go for a budget hatchback, you will have to buy an turbo charged car so better learn to live with it

Turbo activates only in higher rpm. Eg. 3000+ rmp. Compared to normal petrol engine, turbo engines give less mileage but they are more efficient and release less carbon than normal engines. Turbo engine weighs less than normal one and thats the reason why it's used in cars like Tata Nexon that has good build quality (1.3 ton). You can feel the turbo activation when you throttle the engine in low gear, high rpm eg. During overtaking or hill drive. Tata nexon (in Sport or city drive mode) turbo activates at 4000 rpm.

You may have to change engine oil once in an year as reference to your car manual. Do check the oil level once in a month.
