No matter how wrong the WHO, the CDC, Dr. Anthony Fauci, and others have been on their predictions and pronouncements, Twitter and others never block or fact-check them. Instead, they censor scientists and doctors who dare think differently. Just look at this: Actual scientific data on the seasonal flu from CDC: 2017-2018 - 45 Million cases (187,500 per day average for 240 day season), 810,000 Hospitalizations, 61,000 deaths. 2018-2019 - 35.5 Million cases (147,916 per day average for 240 day season), 490,600 Hospitalizations, 34,200 deaths. 2019-2020 - 38 Million cases (158,333per day average for 240 day season), 405,000 Hospitalizations, 22,000 deaths. For the seasonal flu, we didn't have cases as 24-hour coverage; daily sad stories on the nightly news; front-page coverage of deaths, especially of young people; free test sites around the country; testing of people with no symptoms; or unlimited coverage at hospitals with no payments from the patients. We did not require masks, did not require social distancing, did not have contact tracing, and did not destroy the economy. We also had shots to prevent people from getting the ordinary seasonal flu. As for COVID, never before have we counted heart attacks, strokes, kidney disease, cancer, diabetes, and multiple other causes as caused by the flu or swine flu if the victims happened to have these conditions. It is clearly a political or agenda-based decision to change the cause of death to COVID to goose the statistics. That will throw off historical averages on all other causes of death.

During the plague of Justinian, there was no knowledge of epidemiology. There was nothing useful to be done to stem the spread. Now, we have the knowledge that could be used to apply intelligent, focused measures that do not end up commerce and services. Other 'horsemen' are war and famine. We have division bordering on war over attitudes towards shutdown and famine is the result of economic stagnation resulting from shutdown

I was told that in 1918 when the pandemic of the Spanish Flu was going on, children went to school outdoors, even in the mid west and places with cold winters.
That way they can be rid of the needy and dependent tail. The problem is that there will always be the "needy" tail so they will be sacrificed or deemed valueless or expendable - particularly in wars. Robert McNamara was aware of this in the Vietnam War era and sent "dumb kids" to their deaths. Trump has already enunciated this policy of Eugenics when he said that "suckers and losers" couldn't get out of the Draft (as he did when his pa Fred reduced the rent at the cooperative certifying doctor's surgery.)
This interview is the voice of reason speaking. I am about 85% recovered from COVID-19. My infection was a souvenir from a trip to N. Italy. It's no accident that I am reading this. After 11 months I've come to the realization that I may have survived a harsh infection, but COVID-19 has left me somewhat impaired. Always careful with my health, avid swimmer, hiker, I've aged 15 years in just a few months. I get winded, my symptoms feel like a combination of COPD, malaria, and polio like pain in my legs. My gains in mobility seem temporary at best, they quickly fade if not exercised daily (like a 90 year old body). I'm not onboard with the depression, anxiety, muddled thinking, physical, pain, isolation, and limited mobility presented by so called "recovery" from COVID-19.
Build up your immune system. Take supplements. Eat well. Exercise. Sleep. Do Breathing Exercises. Meditate. Wear a mask. Wash your hands. Socially distance. Look after yourself and your loved ones.
Very helpful hearing Chris as he has gone back to the Bubonic Plague and lessons learnt from past Plagues help. First heard about the Spanish Influenza on Chromosome. Thank you Amanpour and company. Allan.
Whoa. Glad that my (immediate) family has government healthcare--and, that I'm retired, with a pension. The long term effects of Covid-19 are hardly mentioned, but the healthcare and economic consequences could be terrible.
The whole situation is chaos! ... the best part is the fact that even with a vaccine it is inevitable and just a matter of time before each person gets infected with COVID-19... it’s like the new herpes virus or common cold or season flu...
It's nice to read thoughtful comments by people who are disturbed by such death suffering and destruction instead of the usual UA-cam comments that just reinforce the lies and total lack of compassion put forth by this Administration
The hope I have is because people like this are informing the public . Thank you for this interview. I think part of the problem is that some of our populus are distrustful of intellectualism and the present administration reflects and leads that part of the cultural divide. Another one of the aspects of this pandemic is that it brings to the fore the improvements our country needs to make. The educational system included along with medical care, equality, racism, environmental and political improvements must be analyzed and implemented. We will no doubt succeed and yet there is a great storm before the calm. Again thank you ,this interview is inspiring.
For the past 25 years I made my living as a storyteller on the State and County Fair Circuit. There is no Fair Circuit to go back to. My 2020 Contracts were cancelled. My 2021 Contracts were just cancelled as well. ImPeachMan and the GOP are doing nothing to help We the People. So sad.

I have been considering reading this book. My kid was given some book for Christmas by family and it is all about the extremism they prefer, the dark crap they are actually supporting.
Our government for good or bad is directly related to the vote of the people. Started with Regan and allowing for money to rule. Americans only have one true freedom and that is to vote- why that is why we have the government that we voted in. “ band together” is the concept that Citizens fail at.
For me it started in Januari-16 Februari. In March it was too late, without doing any math. I am only a Belgian mum, living in France. WHO let us down, worldleaders too. The books are spreading just as the virus is 👸🏻.
If we are to move forward we also need to address the rhetoric of misinformation and alternative facts. And we also need to address the crazy conspiracies. Our government agencies also need to also rebuild confidence in the people, a lot of those individuals have focused more on politics rather than doing the job that they were hired for or appointed to.
This is the beginning of the end of humanity and the biosphere. More, much more, to come due to population density stress and the 6th Extinction. Stress R Us
I remember hearing this shit as a kid about AIDS... "Everyone in this room will know someone with AIDS" they said... End of the world... yea, not quite there, sweetheart.
I am looking forward to the next ‘Roaring Twenties’. Life is too short, to not have fun. But, we need to get through this time period where there is no vaccine available.
...But it will help spread it. People test positive (symptoms or none) and not quarantine or inform others. UNIFORM and consistent recommendations are required. Everybody: UNIVERSAL PRECAUTIONS! And cover your nose and mouth.
This needs to be broadcast on every media outlet on a loop because this is helpful. Thank you.

Intentionally. A crime against America by the GOP. With Americans in despair gives the wealthy GOP to cease more undemocratic power to rule over us all FOREVER at their whims. They aren't hurting. Their playing with their surplus cash in the stock market with insider trading. No risk at all.
I was told that in 1918 when the pandemic of the Spanish Flu was going on, children went to school outdoors, even in the mid west and places with cold winters.
He has a rather optimistic outlook..hears hoping he's right though I can't help worry the pandemic of STUPID will get us all.
The answer is power. They believe a rising tide lifts all boats but sinks the ones they don't like.
@Ross Rain NO ITS THE RADICAL RIGHT DESPERATE TO BRAINWASH YOU. CONSERVATIVES ONLY CARE About Cold HARD CASH!

ALL HAIL OUR GREAT MASTER FROM YALE, NICHOLAS CRISTAKENS
Excellent interview... content was educative!
🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿 Cheers from New Zealand
thanks for watching from afar.
I work from home. I've taken a hit to income, but I save carefully, so I'm fine, and I realize how very lucky I am to be in that position.
Universal health care is way over due. And a universal income should also be considered.
Hari's facial expressions while this dire information is revealed is priceless.
its the face that comes with me (shrug emoji)
@@NowHari Your face is wonderful. Keep up the great work.
This so real!!!! We can do better America!!!
"...sense of civic purpose and maturity..." well stated!
Thank you, it is so good to be spoken to with respect it helped me to understand and grasp the coming losses. Covid is the enemy.
thanks for watching.
This was an excellent presentation.Honest, thoughtful and informative.Well done
Brilliant physician and social scientist. One of the best minds of our generation
It's nice to read thoughtful comments by people who are disturbed by such death suffering and destruction instead of the usual UA-cam comments that just reinforce the lies and total lack of compassion put forth by this Administration
e o kristaikens nando boura?
Thank you, this should give many of us hope for the days ahead
thanks for watching.
@@NowHari welcome
capable! straightforwardness. maturity, honesty and accuracy. share basis for statement, and degree of uncertainty. Go doctor go
The hope I have is because people like this are informing the public .
So sad.
Is our leader's declaring this a hoax new to this era or has that happened before?
Excellent question
It was the same response in 1918 , Wilson denied it's existence Spain was the only country acknowledging it that's why it was called the Spanish flu, ... just history repeating itself God help us all🙏🏻🙏🏾
No matter how wrong the WHO, the CDC, Dr. Anthony Fauci, and others have been on their predictions and pronouncements, Twitter and others never block or fact-check them. Instead, they censor scientists and doctors who dare think differently. Just look at this:
Actual scientific data on the seasonal flu from CDC:
2017-2018 - 45 Million cases (187,500 per day average for 240 day season), 810,000 Hospitalizations, 61,000 deaths.
Best conversation with a medical doctor - ever!!!
Great interview!
thanks for watching.
Thanks for sharing this, it wasn't broadcasted last night, so missed it, Here's to 2024...and a resurgence of the Roaring 20's. m
Brilliant man
I hope sometime you'll be able to give a conference to the subject in Greece. Right now seems the Covid has taken a very bad turn , Most of the problem is the Greek Health system seems badly politicized than prepared. Great interview !!!
We Americans seem to be showing a total lack of Civic Purpose or Maturity. It’s unfathomable what our country is going through and our reaction to the tragedy.
This gentleman is speaking truth. Thank you!
8:24 "As a scientifically grounded society" - I suspect half of Mericans are NOT grounded in science. #FeelingDoomed
Clearly almost all of the 73 million who voted for Trump are not just not grounded in science but also don’t even value facts and evidence. Blindly accepted ‘beliefs’ and ‘truths’ are more valued than objective evidence.
They believe in agricultural science. They believe in ballistic science. They believe in mechanical science. They believe in food science. They are politically selective in what science they believe. They are fake non-believers in science.
I love this guy.
There are folks living with amputations caused by blood clotting/insufficient blood flow to extremities.
Thought provoking...
If you liked this interview, read his book. It is excellent. Sobering, but excellent.
And today he is refusing to cooperate with transitioning in the new administration with briefings on the same matter. Yet, still, his team is down in Georgia figuring out how to discard the votes of the people. Writings on the wall.
Great interview thanks
thanks for watching.
Great conversation. Thank you
thanks for watching.
I got Guillain - Barre' after Covid which came close to ruining my life. US docs are ignoring GBS so far.
This interview and DemocracyNow! With Laurie Garrett are the only interviews I've seen that give the facts of how it is, how the virus works and what people need to understand about it, especially why it happened - human encroachment on animal habitats.
Aah he means endemic equilibrium. Much more then a theortical possibility.
15:30 "That fundamentally we uh"( flash of light in the background). I thought that the background was fake. I wonder what that was (so bright that we could see it this far up) or was it a stray light in the room or possibly a camera or software rendering issue?
Thank you for this harsh reality. See you in 2024
probably 2022! We just need to figure out how to stick 500 million vaccine needles into people by the end of 2021. A logistical nightmare I'm glad I'm not responsible for.
Excellent.
I still can’t believe people think the World is round.
It's not. It's a flat cancerous lesion in Trump's colon
Very insightful knowledge. Much appreciated.
right thinking
How big is a Trillion?
1 thousand seconds = 16 minutes
1 million seconds = 11 days
1 billion seconds = 30 years
1 trillion seconds = 30,000 years
"It is what it is" got his @$$ kicked by over 5.5 Million on Nov 3rd 2020, think that MIGHT have had something to do with it? I do.
Brilliant doctor!
I think citizens are ready to work but there needs to be some organization so they know how they can help. 🌸
Build immune system eat correctly meditate don’t stress causes cortisol harming systems !
a zillion peices of PCE available now, and hospitals still not not allowing visitors. ///// 11:00 you said "saving alot of money" .......when our incomes are reduced from stopped economy.????
I love Amanpour and Company
I have been considering reading this book. My kid was given some book for Christmas by family and it is all about the extremism they prefer, the dark crap they are actually supporting.
PEOPLE DO LOTS OF RESEARCH, THEY ARE BRAINWASHING US, LOT OF RESEARCH, THE PUZZLE WITH COME TOGETHER...THEY ARE MAKING LOT OF MONEY OFF THIS....
I agree that with all that has transpired in the US both politically and socially. I question the mentality of American society
Symptoms of Declining Empire
we had a conversation on that topic - ua-cam.com/video/lJJTAz5ux-c/v-deo.html
This guy is unrealistically optimistic about our recovery from this.
We need realism from our experts and leaders. Not pie in the sky stories.
Gives a person a lot to think about. Maybe, some actual honest facts to help us do some positive things to get through this.
thanks for watching.
Feda needsto give every family enough money to live on for 4-6 months and stay inside. The virus will have no hosts to infect.
Refreshing. A sound mind. Wish he could run for president.
I gotta do this till 2022? Wow this gonna be rough.
remember, next spring you'll be able to meet friends masked outdoors. It's this winter that is going to suck, but you can do it. Stay safe.
In 2024, all that will be ruined by a trump resurgence.
Debt sellers and debt collectors will be rubbing their hands with glee.
