Laura's and Grant's presentation of their farming life is not only educating, it gives a genuine picture into the courage it takes to choose a farmers life. I for one am very proud of you both. You are the "best" of what our great country is and can be. Our prayers are with you.

Thousands of gallons of toxins sprayed in the soil and water to grow food that's bioengineered and genetically modified to be poisonous. The insects that eat it die.
Currently, 26 countries including France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Russia, China, and India (19 of which are in the European Union (EU)) have partially or fully banned GMOs. Another 60 countries have significant restrictions on GMOs.Mar 22, 2023. 86 countries know their people would be better off hungry than eating that garbage.

I like how the wings of the corn planter come down. That is pretty cool. Now I understand tractors need auto stir, there is alot of data to look at. I like to now how many acres in one field, I bet over a 100 acres, or not more.

This has been a most interesting video for me. I used a Dickey John seed monitor the first year they were sold . They had MANY problems. Dickey John was a small compeny formed by farmers just south of Springfield Illinois, and were the for runners of all seed monitoring . I was told John Deere bought them out and went from there. I am 88 years old and long since retired but sure enjoy your video.

Good evening Sunshine! It's great seeing you and Grant again, especially your warm smile and beautiful eyes so full of zest. It was enjoyable going with you both on this shakedown day 0. I know you are a woman of faith as you have mentioned it a few times over the passage of time. You are good stewards of your land and the blessings that God has given you, and I know that God is faithful to those that love Him and follow His word. I understand that the planting time is stressful as you have so much riding on it, but I'd encourage you, once it's done to give it up to God and it's His problem at that point. You do your best and let Him do the rest and take care of you both. You are in my thoughts and I will be praying for you guys. Larry, Central Valley, Ca.

I so look forward to your first planting video every year and have done so since your first post when you were planting in April of 2020 at which time I right away subscribed. Love your enthusiasm for farming which I share. The main reason I chose farming as a career is that I really like raising, especially corn, and soybeans in the Midwest. Very familiar with your and Grant's machinery and I watch and enjoy your videos with intensity. I borrowed a seed drill ounce and the owner had not used in a while. Started sewing the seeds and noticed I was missing a few rows. By the time I got everything sorted out, I found caterpillar cocoons clogging the feed tubes. My solution to this dilemma was to change the hoses to clear food grade see throughs. This made it easier to inspect the hose for obstructions. 🤔🤔😁

I'm an old man now, but when I was younger, I worked on a farm here in Georgia where the farmer grew a lot of soybean and corn. I ran a bush hog, repaired combines, grain drills, tractors, motor graders, etc. You get the picture. The worst part of the job was that he had a lot of Johnson Grass, which was sporadic and had to be sprayed by hand with a pump-up sprayer that I wore like a backpack. I walked miles, down row after row, having to return to my service vehicle time after time to to refill my tank. It seems like, with all the good that you are fortunate to enjoy in this short life, disappointments and failures are just part of the human condition. You are so lucky to have the life you have with Grant, (and Pepper). What a beautiful life you have. My parents were drunks and left us kids with nothing. I am retired now. I am 68 years old. Glaucoma took out my left eye. I live on Social Security. I have lived with my little sister for the last 10 years. Unfortunately, she passed away last month. And I have to get out of this house by next week. I fell into a pattern of helping the women in my family because no one else would do it. I took care of my grandmother until she passed away, then my Mom for 18 years until she passed away, and then my little sister until she passed away on March 8th of this year. They all developed illnesses, ranging from old age, lung cancer, Crohn's disease and Lymphoma. In doing so, I deprived myself from accomplishing what I needed to do to make sure that I did not end up homeless. I failed in that respect and have to figure out what I can do to survive. Never thought I would end up here. But, you have to deal with what life throws at you. I have a Harley and all the camping gear I need. So, I guess I am off on a new adventure. Do not know where I will end up, but if you ever need a dependable farm hand that is focused on your goals, and who has a CDL, (don't know if I could pass the D.O.T. physical, with the Glaucoma), but, I can still drive a truck. I actually love driving 18-wheelers. I really miss it. I know this was lengthy. But, I also know you are a people person and you actually care. What a refreshing youtube channel to be a part of. Wish I had met someone like you when I was young. Love the channel and the content. Very smart and very adorable. Grant is sooooo lucky. Love you guys and good luck with year's planting.

Laura, you are stressing ME out😄 Just remember to take a deep breath, trust in your skills and knowledge, and know that you’ve done all of this before and that you’ve got this.

if it werent for the lauras of the world,,,,we would all starve,,,,thanks for your hard work,,,,all that effort and expense,,,,and a bad season of too little rain or tooo much and storms blowing crops away,,,and there is no income,,,,id like to see a breakdown of input costs for planter, tractor fuel, parts, seed, fertilizer, bug poison, harvest costs broken out per acre,,,,,and then put that against the expected sales income per acre,,,,alll the critical pieces,,,,we each are wondering about,,,,,hows about electric bill for your shops, and insurance, or health insurance,,,,,farming is often dangerous and many get injured or killed,,,,,thanks

Lifting the whole pallet of seed using the telehandler up to the seed tanks would surely be easier than going bag by bag up the ladder

I just think there is no one anywhere prettier than you. You are an amazing farmer who I nominate as Farmer of the Decade. You are bright, capable, experienced, talented and lovely all lin one. Thank you for the arm's length recordings and for addressing your videos directly to me an 80 year old in Idaho. Blessings to you and yours.

Congratulations on getting started on the planting process. Hopefully you and your families faired well with the horrible weather that I seen videos of in that area and didn’t get much damage if any. I’m am so happy to see your equipment is working well for the most part. There is something very calming about planting and having the time in your own thoughts. I always found it to be a great time of devotion with the lord and land. There is something special about time like that for me!! Thoughts and prayers for a safe and successful season ahead. Stay safe!!! Thank you for all the video content and educational information!!
