I haven't been able to open up Cobra Commander I'm sure there's going to be another version coming out pretty soon. I see five Cobra leaders in the background
I like *three* versions of Cobra Commander - this one (Royal blue helmet and silver faceplate), his 1987 outfit (silver & neon blue battle armour) and his (late) 1991 outfit (gold helmet and red faceplate, Royal blue uniform; looks ‘Imperial’) [in the UK, neither his character art nor accessories definitely needed changing, given that he already had a glider firing launcher; additionally, on the back of his card as such, he’s merely called ‘Commander’, as it scans better, if and when reading out the code names of the 30 available action figures]. Unfortunate that the ‘Imperial’ version never saw the light of the cartoon, post-movie (it was because the armoured version appeared in the new, short lived, 90s DiC post-movie cartoon, hence said version *couldn’t*).
The helmet looks too narrow. The rest of it gives me a positive outlook for the retail version of this retro Commander. Even if it comes without the extra hands.. but as we see with Scarlett/Duke, extra hands may be something they all get now! Now.. where is our hooded Commander, Hasbro???
@@Fenris30you are correct, but that doesn’t matter. I did a whole video on Hooded Cobra Commander explaining this. Watch it if you like, but that is why we are not getting one.
I still feel as if the cardboard is a little too flimsy, it would have been better if they made them with the Marvel Legends cardbacks. The separation for the blister is nice but kind of annoyed they removed the “A Real American Hero” but it figures they would remove the cross sell as well. I did not open this figure, I actually bought a second one from another collector for a reasonable price so I can keep mine from the HISS Tank boarded and “special”. My only gripes with this figure are the shortness of the gun you pointed out, it really bothers me and I really feel like this was a good opportunity to apply the vac-metal to the mask to make it more unique. Although the helmet looks a little awkward and the color is a shade darker than I wanted this is a great figure and about 90% the Cobra Commander I wanted. It’s a good thing Cobra Commander has a hair dryer because you know his hair underneath the helmet is all sweaty and messed up, surprise he doesn’t come with a hair brush accessory.
Well the retro cards were hat are coming out will be like what you mentioned. Also I forgot that the Cobra figures never did say “A Real American Hero”, same with the vehicles.
@@Apunkwithtoys Forgot about that, they added Cobra the Enemy instead of the "A Real American Hero" but it was really nice to see a full file card this time I just wish with the money we spent for this Haslab they could have used Vac-Metal for his face plate. Plus his helmet looks off without the white strip on top, this is why it looks so weird to me.
I am looking for a case/protector that will fit the Hasbro HasLab G.i. Joe Classified H.I.S.S. Tank Retro Carded Cobra Commander (w/Mickey Mouse Ears) Figure. Does anyone have any ideas?

@@Apunkwithtoys one of them made point to be extra excited about the file card. Was it sarcasm because they know we want them? Rubbing a sore spot? Why be excited and point out something that has been on all the retro cards? Since we,ve seen the new packaging on non retro cards and it doesn't include file cards
@@LandofMert76no, because this was a special project they could create real file card and they want people to see that. Corporate mandates that these retro file cards be in 5 languages. Look at the retro Transformers and you see the same thing.
They should put "A Real American Hero" tag line on the box... frigging commies. 😊 Oh no, people from other continents can't relate?!.. eff 'em if they consider that a problem in buying a toy. Hate how there is some ridiculous idea that everyone needs to see themselves in everything. Oh no!!! I'm not from Eternia and not a caucasian blonde barbarian! How can I relate? How can i possibly enjoy playing with a toy like that?? The horror!!!
Ummmmmm... I think your in to deep here, I think at this point "a RealAmericanHero" identifies book runs and figure series, this series is called "classified" Joes have always been a variety pack, squad sooooo enjoy your Caucasian Blonde Barbarians.. Also Im not shure joes will include the 1940s,version of german soldiers( aka Blonde Barbarians).
Well as it was pointed out, Cobra never did say “ARAH” on the card. But as for this being different cause it’s Classified, they’re called Retro carded figures cause they aren’t Classified but supposed to be ARAH.
Yeah, the first response had a decent start, but went to NPC stupidville mode in the second half. That twist was fun, but it does not leave the opportunity for a repeat viewing very well. Not to mention, we've seen too many like this since 2016, so lacking some originality. Overall rating, While sober: 4 out of 10. While plastered: 8 out of 10 🤣
To clarify, the tagline "A Real American Hero!" was not present on any of the Cobra-associated troops, even in the original vintage line.
You are correct and we discussed this on another video. My mistake for sure not remembering that.

I hope I don’t regret opening him down the road, but I also don’t plan on selling him.
Man I can’t believe you opened it. Especially with another one being announced already. I totally would have kept that one closed. Great review man
I hope we get a regular Crome Dome Commander. I think this guy looks awesome, couldnt justify 3 hundy for the hiss.
We will, and there’s no shame in not spending that much on a toy.
I'm not gonna open him since I have the Classified Cobra Commander.
I'm thinking of getting a second one though.

Still haven’t opened my cobra commander. I have two but not opening the second Hiss tank. So no way to display him in box
Wait for the retrocard general release man. I bet that thing will be worth something down the line
Looks very cool man. I got my Hiss Tank last Sunday and need to unbox it. 😀👍💡
I’d go nuts waiting that long
How did you go about getting the bubble off of the card?
Use a razor to on the plastic line and then open slowly. Some of my early MOTU videos should show you how I do it.
I definitely like the snakes, Supremes gun it’s way better than what we got with the Mickey Mouse
💯
Ludicrous that barbecue has two versions that were "regular" retail but we're still sitting at one Cobra Commander from 2020.
Haha this makes me laugh cause you’re right 😂😂😂
Hey just be glad it's not Fred.
I so want to open mine. But I can’t until I see the standard version.
I just had to 🤦🏻♂️
Does the gold gun fit in the backpack and stay put, or is it too loose?

I'm confused. ... why is this called Mickey Mouse??
So the original CC when they put the cobra symbol on him something was wrong, so if you look at the cobra eyes, it looks like Mickey Mouse ears.

@HiItsMe-uk7mq probably true. The original toy box art I don't think even had it. Just like the theme song too much and it should be on everything.
