@homerfj1100 The jack is a replacement for one I still have thats now about 35 years old!! Yes the Skoda will be for sale as soon as its finished.. its standard apart from the 5 speed gearbox but a full ressurection after been off the road 5 years. Massive history with it.
G clamp saves balancing something in the piston to push it back, I usually lever them back with a screwdriver as I did at the start.. I have sped clamps but there 3 for a quid quality 🤣
Hi Mick, Good video. Its so hard to find anyone working on the Adam. I want to do the same job as you have here. But i am finding different measurements for disks. I am coming up with diameter of 157mm, 20mm thickness, and it seems 54mm for center hole. This doesn't seem right i have only seem 60mm and a 70mm. Why are there differences for the same car. This adam is 2016 1.4. 101HP. I can do the work but the issue is the measurements. Any ideas, Thanks, Brendan
Hi, I would be surprised if they were different centres. The only thing I can think of is vented or non vented. The diameter can vary but I don't know why the other dimensions would differ.
Dont get the cheapest on the market, there are plenty of brands. Euro Car parts for example should be able to identify what you need from th reg number and have a selection of brands and prices. I cant remember what these were without going back to the video..
Super job. I need a decent jack. 2 have failed me.
Brown Skoda with improvements for sale? 5 sp gearbox etc. You mentioned a few days ago.

Great video Mick. G clamp is that an old school method. I have used speed clamps myself.

@@Mickhanic-garage Thanks for reply. What brand of discs did you use. I already have a brake pad kit. But the discs so many variants.
